Evolved Novelties Fleur De Lis Silicone Delight Review

Love is Back and so is Evolved Novelties with a new silicone vibrator, the Waterproof Delight.

Evolved Novelties Fleur De Lis Silicone Delight Vibrator

Evolved’s new version of their older Delight vibrator is made of 100% silicone rather than ABS plastic, which to my mind is a great improvement. I just prefer the soft feel of silicone to that of hard, unforgiving plastic. This matte silicone has a soft, slightly smushy feel to it with quite a bit of give and an extremely squashy tip. Silicone is a great material for sex toys as it is pthalate and latex-free, body safe, and hypoallergenic. It is also easy to care for and clean. This bright pink silicone has no scent and no discernible taste, though it does feel oddly fuzzy against my lips and tongue. As the Silicone Delight has quite a bit of drag, it feels much better when used with lubricant. It’s important to remember to use water-based lubricant as silicone-based lubes can react chemically with the silicone of the vibrator and make a melty mess.

The Evolved Silicone Delight is 7 1/2″ long, with 6″ insertable, and ranges from 1 1/4″ to 1 1/2″ in diameter. The shaft starts out thinner at the bottom and expands as you move upwards, thinning just slightly at the tip. There are eight evenly spaced longitudinal ridges traveling up and down the shaft which add some texture to the smoothness of the silicone. The motor is placed in the lower part of the shaft while the top third is more flexible and can even be slightly bent. There are three levels of vibration controlled by a push button on the bottom of the vibrator. The vibrations cycle from lowest to highest and you turn the vibrator on and off by simply pressing the button. The button has good feedback and require some pressure so I don’t accidentally change speeds or turn it off during play like i do with my Evolved Novelties Waterproof Flutter.

The Silicone Delight’s vibrations are on the deeper side, with the lowest level having the deepest, thuddiest vibrations. Level 2 is still quite deep, but I do notice a jump to a higher-pitched vibration at level 3. Still, even at this highest level the vibrations are far from buzzy. I find the vibrations sufficient but even at its highest speed, the Silicone Delight is not a powerhouse of a vibrator. Power queens may feel it is lacking somewhat in this area.

The Silicone Delight is certainly a quieter vibrator. At its highest vibration level some people may be able to hear it through the covers but definitely not through a closed door. At the lower levels I can’t hear it through the covers and when it’s inside me I can’t hear at all, even on the highest level.

The two required AAA batteries do not come with the Silicon Delight so be sure to stock up. As is common with Evolved Novelty vibrators, there is a plastic battery holder inside the battery compartment that slides out. You can store your batteries in the little holder and just pop it in the vibrator when you plan to use it. Remember to always remove the batteries when the vibrator is not in use.

You know I’m going to talk packaging, right? After all, it’s me and it’s Evolved Novelties. So, the packaging is just fun. It looks somewhat like an upside down vase. The Silicone Delight comes standing upright in its plastic “vase”. There is a piece of plastic that fits in between the bottom of the shaft and the battery compartment cover that actually screws the vibrator into the plastic base. This is what allows it to stand upright. The clear plastic has both fleur de lis and hearts embossed on it, and of course the packaging says “Love is Back” in purple and pink. There is a short lanyard with a fleur de lis charm attached to the top of the container, which really adds some pizazz to the packaging. Yes, I really just used the word pizazz. Back off.

The packaging makes it a great gift to give to the right person. However, as you can totally see the vibrator, as if a rose on display, this packaging is not at all discreet. It is completely obvious this is a vibrator. Then again, perhaps I’m biased. I’m pretty good at recognizing a vibrator when one is in the room.

The first time I used the Evolved Novelties Silicone Delight Vibrator I got a little too excited, thrusted a bit over-exuberantly, and bruised my cervix slightly. As it was the day before my period, I ended up with really icky cramps. Fail on my part, not the vibrator’s. Needless to say, my recent adventures with the Delight have been much more pleasant. I really feel the ridges as the Delight slides in and out of me. A fun little trick to create even more sensation is to twirl it in circles as I thrust it in and out. I can especially feel the ridges when I do this. If you don’t like texture and prefer your vibrators and dildos be super smooth, you may want to go with a different Evolved Novelties Vibrator. However, I really like texture on my sex toys so I’m all about the ridges.

Evolved Novelties Silicone Delight Pros:
• Silicone
• Ridges
• Good Size
• Great packaging

Evolved Novelties Silicone Delight Cons:
• Might be too filling for some
• Might be too weak for some

The Evolved Novelties Silicone Delight Vibrator is a great twist on a traditional vibrator. As someone who loves texture, I really appreciate the ridges. I love the safety and easy care of silicone sex toys, and the deeper vibrations this toy offers. The packaging is just adorable and easy to store. As long as I use caution, this is a good option when I want a filling vibrator for thrusting, as well as one that feels good against my clit.
