Fun Factory Yooo Review
I did a Spotlight a while back on what was then a new Fun Factory toy and I have just been very slow about getting the review done. No, I’m not talking about the new G4 line, though I do love my Paulina. That’s right, yooo guessed it. I’m talking about the Fun Factory Yooo. Ok, bad joke but I couldn’t resist.

After all, how could I resist a vibrator that looks like a slightly off-kilter Mickey Mouse? I really love Fun Factory sex toys. They are colorful, creative, made of super plushy silicone, and just plain fun.
The Fun Factory Yooo is an innovative new clit vibrator that fits in the palm of my hand. Its three circles are made of lovely squishy silicone with a small amount of drag and quite a bit of give to them. Its base is plastic and it has two motors, one in each “ear”, with one of the ears being slightly larger than the other. The Yooo is approximately 4 1/4″ long and 2 1/8″ wide. The base is about 6 1/2″ in circumference, with the large ball at 5 1/2″ and the small ball at 4 7/8″ in circumference.
The Yooo is a rechargeable vibrator, which gets a big yay from me. It comes with its charger, packaged in a separate box. The charger connects magnetically to the FUN logo on the bottom of the Yooo. When plugged in and connected, the charger glows red and the base of my Yooo pulses with white light. It’s like a pretty little light show. The charger is supposed to stop glowing red when the Yoo is fully charged though mine doesn’t seem to. However, the same thing happens with my other Click N’ Charge vibes, Bubbles and Paulina, so I don’t consider this a problem. The directions state the first charge may take as long as six hours while subsequent charging will require less and less time. They also inform me that the charge should last 30 minutes of use on the highest level. My first charge lasted approximately 45-50 minutes and cut out right in the middle of play leaving me a very sad girl. So you may want to keep an eye on that. Overall, I find my Yooo lasts about 30-45 minutes on a single charge.
I have not been able to figure out how long it needs to be charged because my Yooo never stops flashing, nor does it give any indication when the charging is complete. However, the toy has what Fun Factory calls the “Magic Touch”. When you touch the base of the Yooo and it lights up, it is all charged up and ready to go. I would assume if you touch it and it doesn’t light up, the Yoo isn’t fully charged but mine always lights up so I don’t really know. As the Yooo charges magnetically, there are no ports, nothing that unscrews, so it is 100% waterproof.
The only downside to the magnetic charger is its tendency to slip off and stop charging. I really need to be sure I have balanced it properly so this doesn’t happen. This happens with my other Click ‘N’ Charge vibrators and I’ve gotten quite good at balancing my Fun Factory chargers!
The base of the Yooo has three buttons, the +, the -, and the *, or the booster button. To turn the Yooo on, press down on the + button for two seconds. To scroll through the (I count) eight levels of straight vibration, from barely there to wowsa, press the + button. Once you’ve reached the highest level of steady vibes, press the button again to enter the first of four patterns. The control panel will actually flash to let you know which pattern you are on. It flashes once for the first pattern, twice for the second, and so on. How. Cool. Is. That. So I know it’s geeky to get all hot and bothered over the flashing control panel but I am, ok? It really doesn’t make a difference when I’m using the Yooo because I can’t see the flashing. I suppose it could help your partner navigate if he or she is driving the vibe. I just think it is damn sexy!
The Fun Factory Yooo patterns are as follows:
1. Roller coaster, alternating between motors
2. Faster version of pattern #1
3. Super fast pulse, both motors
4. Escalating pulse, both motors
Scroll through the four pattern programs using the + button and press the – button to return to steady vibrations. To turn off, scroll down using the – button, then hold for two seconds. The Turbo Booster (labeled with *) adds a serious boost of steady vibratory power whenever you press it. If you just tap it, it’ll boost for a moment. If you press it hard, it’ll boost until you press it again to turn it off. The buttons need to be pressed quite firmly so there is no chance of accidentally pressing one during play. However, it is easy to mix them up as all three buttons feel basically the same, especially when I’m in the moment.
The vibrations are very strong and rumbly, particularly for a vibrator of such small stature. No buzziness to be found here. The shape also means the Yooo works really well as a massager for me, especially on my neck and shoulders which get really sore writing reviews. As a massager the Yooo is a bit loud right near my ears, but as a clit stimulator it really isn’t bad. I can barely hear it under the covers and there is not a chance you can hear it through my closed bedroom door.
Fun Factory silicone is soft and plush, and definitely lint magnet-y. Good thing you’ve got lots of cleansing options. You can use antibacterial soap and warm water, your favorite toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Do NOT boil your Yooo, nor stick it in the dishwasher or you could kill the dual motors. Silicone is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe, so it is an excellent material for sex toys. Fun Factory recommends using a water-based lubricant with their products, and it’s always best to keep silicone toys from touching each other in storage.
The Yooo comes in the typical red and silver Fun Factory packaging, in a plastic clamshell visible through the box. It is not what I’d call discreet. Included is the ever-present sample of Toy Fluid, Fun Factory’s brand of lubricant, and instructions in multiple languages. Fun Factory does well with it’s packaging but I’d like to see two big changes. I really wish they would include storage bags for their toys as the boxes are just overly large to use for storage. I also wish they would offer a version of their rechargeable toys that does not come with a charger. I would rather buy the charger as a standalone item once than collect multiple chargers, especially as the chargers are universal for the Click N’ Charge line.
So here is where things get weird. I feel kinda meh about my Yooo. For some reason it just leaves me feeling frustrated most of the time. I know I’m in the minority here, so I don’t think it’s the toy. The Fun Factory Yooo is cute, unusual, strong, rechargeable, waterproof. It’s everything I like in a sex toy and yet… It just really doesn’t do it for me. The vibrations are deep and rumbly and I still have trouble getting off with my Yooo. Maybe the frequency is just not quite there for me or the shape is just wrong.
Fun Factory Yooo Pros:
• Strong, rumbly vibrations
• Rechargeable
• Silicone
• Waterproof
• Cute
Fun Factory Yooo Cons:
• Have trouble getting off
• Charger tends to slip off
• Lint magnet
I am trying to love the Yooo. I love all the different aspects of it. I love it in theory. We just haven’t quite clicked. It makes me sad, it really does. Do I give up on my Yooo or keep trying? Every time I look at it I wonder what is wrong with me. Maybe I haven’t been creative enough with it yet. Why don’t I love my Yooo? I have no real answer. However, almost everyone I’ve run across who has shaken hands with a Yooo absolutely loves it.
