SPOTLIGHT on Odeco Vibrators

It seems as though there have been a number of new sex toys being released recently, and I have been doing my best to keep track of them. Just last week, I reviewed the iGino One, which will hopefully be officially released by the end of this month. Today I’m going to talk about a trio of vibrators from Odeco, a manufacturer that I hadn’t heard of before, the Kupalo, the Lilith, and the Apollo.

The Odeco Kupalo, Odeco Lilith, and Odeco Apollo are vibrators made of silicone and plastic, and all three use AAA batteries. All three vibrators are designed to target the g-spot, but the Kupalo and the Lilith are more along the lines of a traditional vibrator while the Apollo is a rabbit. All three vibrators have easy to use push buttons that function as a control panel and seven modes of vibration.

Obviously, there are more differences between the Apollo and the other two vibrators than between the Kupalo and the Lilith. The Apollo has dual motors, one in the shaft of the vibrator and one in the clit stimulator. It is only 1″ in diameter compared to the 1.25″ diameter of the Kupalo and the Lilith. All three vibrators are splash proof rather than waterproof, which is a bit of downside but better than nothing. Overall, I think the Kupalo comes in the best color, bright green.

You can find the Odeco Kupalo, the Odeco Lilith, and the Odeco Apollo at EdenFantasys. Keep in mind, EdenFantasys will ship your $39+ purchase for free and give you a free gift. Just be sure to add the free gift to your cart before checking out.

SPOTLIGHT on Jimmyjane Form 6 G3

Jimmyjane is a company that I have written about before, mostly in Spotlights. They manufacture high-end luxury sex toys. I actually only have one, the Jimmyjane Form 2, which I really like. Not only does Jimmyjane consistently produce new products, they also have a tendency to update older products, like they have done with the Jimmyjane Form 6 G3.

Jimmyjane Form 6 G3 Vibrator

The Jimmyjane Form 6 G3 is the third generation of this popular vibrator, hence the name. This vibrator has dual motors, one in each end, which makes for a fair amount of versatility. You can use either end for clitoral and labial stimulation, as well as using the longer end for penetration.

Made of silicone and stainless steel, the Jimmyjane Form 6 G3 is hypoallergenic and body-safe, as well as snazzy-looking. It is rechargeable and has a new and more compact charging base compared to earlier models. As the Form 6 G3 charges magnetically, there are no open ports anywhere on the vibrator, thus making it waterproof. Supposedly, the Form 6 G3 provides up to six hours of play time on a single charge. Though I don’t know how long it takes to fully charge this vibrator, six hours is impressive.

The Jimmyjane Form 6 G3 has a new control panel that is more intuitive and responsive than the second generation Form 6. It also has five levles of intensity and six different patterns. It comes with a travel lock, which is a great feature to have on a vibrator even if you don’t travel with it. A travel lock allows you to lock the vibrator while in storage so it does not turn on accidentally and run down the charge. It also has a new universal adapter that allows you charge your Form 6 G3 in most any country you happen to be, a big benefit for those who do travel. Jimmyjane also provides a three year limited warranty on the Form 6 G3, and though I have not had any need to contact their customer service department, I have heard they are excellent.

This video provides a bit more information about the Jimmyjane Form 6.

SPOTLIGHT on SinFive Grace and SinFive Sue

I recently noticed two new vibrators at EdenFantasys from a manufacturer called SinFive. SinFive has been around for a while. In fact, EdenFantasys used to carry a bunch of their vibrators but I never had the opportunity to try one out. These two new vibrators do look interesting, however. They are called the SinFive Grace and the SinFive Sue.

The SinFive Grace and the SinFive Sue are both colorful vibrators made of 100% silicone. They are waterproof and USB rechargeable, which is one of my new favorite things. Of course, I love rechargeable sex toys, but I have really begun to like those that charge via USB. It is just so convenient. Both vibrators have multiple levels of intensity and three different patterns, and they are supposed to be “whisper quiet”. No idea if they actually are. I’m not fond of that description, as it is a rare vibrator that is actually that quiet.

The SinFive Grace is a simple take on the traditional vibrator. It is somewhat girthy at 1.75″, which is a good size to please many users. It looks fairly easy to operate and seems like it may have decent power. The SinFive Sue is a clit vibrator, so while the Grace is meant to be used internally, the Sue is not. At 6″ in length, it is actually on the large side for a clit vibrator, which I like. Sometimes clit vibes are so short it’s a challenge to actually hold on to them. I also like the look of the shape. The tip seems like it might be rather pointy. I love a pointy clit vibrator because they provide great pinpoint stimulation.

Overall, both of these new vibrators look like interesting options. Head over to EdenFantasys to check out the SinFive Grace and the SinFive Sue for yourself. Keep in mind, EdenFantasys offers free shipping on your $35+ purchase.

Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator Review

Over the past few weeks I have reviewed the Jopen KEY Charms Plush Mini Vibrator and the Jopen KEY Vela Massager. I mentioned that a third review was in the works, thanks to Jopen being kind enough to send me three vibrators from their new KEY line. This week, we’ll be taking a look at the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator.

Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator

As I mentioned above, the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator is part of the new Jopen KEY line, and like the other sex toys in this line, it is made of ABS and silicone. In the case of the Io (which reminds me of the Io Valley on Maui), the vibrator itself is made of ABS, while the two changeable sleeves are made of silicone. The silicone of the sleeves is sleek and smooth and does not collect lint like many of my silicone sex toys, which I greatly appreciate. While it is smooth and silky, it is still important to use lubricant for increased slipperyness. When using the silicone sleeves, you want to stick with a water-based lubricant as silicone-based lubes can react negatively with the silicone sleeves. Technically, you can use a silicone-based lubricant if you are using the Io on its own without either of the sleeves, but I wouldn’t risk it. If you don’t get every speck of silicone-based lube off the vibrator, you could damage the inside of the silicone sleeve when it comes into contact with the lubricant.

The video below provides a snapshot of the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator.

The Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator runs on one AA battery, which is not included. To insert this battery, twist the base of the Io counterclockwise and it pops right off. Insert the battery positive end down. When you open the battery compartment of the Io, you will see an o-ring which ensures the vibrator is waterproof. Just be sure you firmly reattach the battery compartment cover before exposing the Io to water. As it is waterproof, the Io Mini Vibrator is easy to clean. You can use any sex toy cleaner, or just wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap, like I do. Remove and wash the sleeves separately to make sure they are totally clean.

Certainly something I would classify as an external vibrator, the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator is 4.25″ ling with a diameter of 1″. Yes, you can insert it vaginally, which may be nice for some users, especially beginners. However, do not insert the Io anally. It has no flared based and its shape is perfect for disappearing up into the anal canal and being very difficult to retrieve. Just don’t do it.

The Io Vibrator is very easy to use, also a benefit for people new to sex toys. At the base of the Io is a stainless alloy button, which gives the vibrator a touch of class in looks. Press this button once to turn the Io on. Press it again to cycle through the five different modes. To turn the Io off, press and hold the button for approximately two seconds. Easy, peasy. Unlike both the KEY Charms Plush and the KEY Vela, which have the same stainless alloy button, this particular button is a bit too easy to press. The buttons on the other vibrators require enough pressure that I don’t turn them on or change modes accidentally. The button on the Io is a hair trigger, so this does happen occasionally. It certainly isn’t the end of the world and may just be my specific Io. It is, however, an excellent reason not to store the Io with the battery inside. It will very likely get turned on accidentally in storage and drain the battery, as well as making odd noises.

Like the Charms Plush, the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator has five modes of vibration. There is a helpful visual of these patterns in the instruction manual. They are as follows:
1. High- steady vibration
2. High 2- very fast pulse
3. Tease- ramp up
4. Pulse- slow pulse
5. Throb- two long pulses three short

The vibrations of the Io are surprisingly strong for a battery-operated clit vibrator. This is likely due to the AA battery, rather than an N or even a AAA. While not silent, they are also quiet enough to use underneath some heavy blankets without making too much of a racket in the room. However, and this is a big however, the vibrations are buzzy. They are not so buzzy they’re painful and I can orgasm with them, but they are not the deep and rumbly vibrations I really prefer. This makes using the KEY Io Mini Vibrator much less pleasurable than I hoped. While I very much appreciate the Io’s changeable sleeves, it is a challenge for me to get past the vibrations. On a positive note, I really like the Io’s textured sleeve. I would prefer to have the raised nubs on the tip of the sleeve, rather than just a strip around it, but I do like texture against my clit. I also appreciate the slickness of the Io’s silicone.

The packaging of the Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator is the same as the KEY Charms Plush and the KEY Vela. The external box corresponds with the color of the vibrator, in this case purple. It slides off to reveal the black box underneath. Both boxes have basic information on them and neither one is particularly discreet. The external box has an image of the Io and the internal box calls it a massager, so it’s pretty obvious it’s a vibrator. The black box has a window that opens outward to provide access to the Io and its two sleeves which sit securely in black foam. Underneath the foam is the instruction manual, warranty information, and black satin storage back. The instruction manual is simple and easy to understand, perfectly appropriate for someone new to sex toys. For some weird reason, the paper has a very strong, unpleasant odor. Odd, as the silicone sleeves have only a minimal scent when I hold them right up to my nose.

Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator Pros:
• Changeable sleeves
• Different patterns
• Easy to use
• Silicone
• Waterproof
• Good price point
• Storage bag

Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator Cons:
• Buzzy vibrations
• Only one level of intensity
• Button a little too easy to push

The Jopen KEY Io Mini Vibrator certainly has some strong points. It provides different textures, is easy to use, is waterproof, and is reasonably priced. I really appreciate a sex toy that gives me multiple options, so the two sleeves, along with the sleekness of the ABS is a definite benefit to the Io. One sleeve is a simple, smooth silicone while the other has some raised bumps for texture. The thing is, with the ABS being totally smooth, the smooth silicone sleeve seems unnecessary to me. I would have preferred another textured sleeve as a different option. Granted, there is a different sensation between the silicone and ABS, but against my clit it’s not hugely noticeable.

As with the KEY Charms Plush, the real issue for me with the Io is the vibrations. While they seem to be a bit less buzzy than the Charms Plush, they are definitely on that end of the spectrum which makes them hard to appreciate. I also really feel this vibrator, as with the the others I’ve tried in the KEY line, needs more than one level of intensity. It’s just too much for me to start off at this level of power. I do want it once I’ve warmed up, but not until I’ve had a chance to do that. It’s too strong for me to use on my nipples, so that’s a bust, and I need to use another vibrator or my fingers to get to the place where my clit can handle the power of the Io. I understand that one level of intensity makes the vibrator simple and easy to use, which is attractive to beginning users, but in my mind it is a design flaw.

Fun Factory Yooo Review

I did a Spotlight a while back on what was then a new Fun Factory toy and I have just been very slow about getting the review done. No, I’m not talking about the new G4 line, though I do love my Paulina. That’s right, yooo guessed it. I’m talking about the Fun Factory Yooo. Ok, bad joke but I couldn’t resist.

Fun Factory Yooo

After all, how could I resist a vibrator that looks like a slightly off-kilter Mickey Mouse? I really love Fun Factory sex toys. They are colorful, creative, made of super plushy silicone, and just plain fun.

The Fun Factory Yooo is an innovative new clit vibrator that fits in the palm of my hand. Its three circles are made of lovely squishy silicone with a small amount of drag and quite a bit of give to them. Its base is plastic and it has two motors, one in each “ear”, with one of the ears being slightly larger than the other. The Yooo is approximately 4 1/4″ long and 2 1/8″ wide. The base is about 6 1/2″ in circumference, with the large ball at 5 1/2″ and the small ball at 4 7/8″ in circumference.

The Yooo is a rechargeable vibrator, which gets a big yay from me. It comes with its charger, packaged in a separate box. The charger connects magnetically to the FUN logo on the bottom of the Yooo. When plugged in and connected, the charger glows red and the base of my Yooo pulses with white light. It’s like a pretty little light show. The charger is supposed to stop glowing red when the Yoo is fully charged though mine doesn’t seem to. However, the same thing happens with my other Click N’ Charge vibes, Bubbles and Paulina, so I don’t consider this a problem. The directions state the first charge may take as long as six hours while subsequent charging will require less and less time. They also inform me that the charge should last 30 minutes of use on the highest level. My first charge lasted approximately 45-50 minutes and cut out right in the middle of play leaving me a very sad girl. So you may want to keep an eye on that. Overall, I find my Yooo lasts about 30-45 minutes on a single charge.

I have not been able to figure out how long it needs to be charged because my Yooo never stops flashing, nor does it give any indication when the charging is complete. However, the toy has what Fun Factory calls the “Magic Touch”. When you touch the base of the Yooo and it lights up, it is all charged up and ready to go. I would assume if you touch it and it doesn’t light up, the Yoo isn’t fully charged but mine always lights up so I don’t really know. As the Yooo charges magnetically, there are no ports, nothing that unscrews, so it is 100% waterproof.

The only downside to the magnetic charger is its tendency to slip off and stop charging. I really need to be sure I have balanced it properly so this doesn’t happen. This happens with my other Click ‘N’ Charge vibrators and I’ve gotten quite good at balancing my Fun Factory chargers!

The base of the Yooo has three buttons, the +, the -, and the *, or the booster button. To turn the Yooo on, press down on the + button for two seconds. To scroll through the (I count) eight levels of straight vibration, from barely there to wowsa, press the + button. Once you’ve reached the highest level of steady vibes, press the button again to enter the first of four patterns. The control panel will actually flash to let you know which pattern you are on. It flashes once for the first pattern, twice for the second, and so on. How. Cool. Is. That. So I know it’s geeky to get all hot and bothered over the flashing control panel but I am, ok? It really doesn’t make a difference when I’m using the Yooo because I can’t see the flashing. I suppose it could help your partner navigate if he or she is driving the vibe. I just think it is damn sexy!

The Fun Factory Yooo patterns are as follows:
1. Roller coaster, alternating between motors
2. Faster version of pattern #1
3. Super fast pulse, both motors
4. Escalating pulse, both motors

Scroll through the four pattern programs using the + button and press the – button to return to steady vibrations. To turn off, scroll down using the – button, then hold for two seconds. The Turbo Booster (labeled with *) adds a serious boost of steady vibratory power whenever you press it. If you just tap it, it’ll boost for a moment. If you press it hard, it’ll boost until you press it again to turn it off. The buttons need to be pressed quite firmly so there is no chance of accidentally pressing one during play. However, it is easy to mix them up as all three buttons feel basically the same, especially when I’m in the moment.

The vibrations are very strong and rumbly, particularly for a vibrator of such small stature. No buzziness to be found here. The shape also means the Yooo works really well as a massager for me, especially on my neck and shoulders which get really sore writing reviews. As a massager the Yooo is a bit loud right near my ears, but as a clit stimulator it really isn’t bad. I can barely hear it under the covers and there is not a chance you can hear it through my closed bedroom door.

Fun Factory silicone is soft and plush, and definitely lint magnet-y. Good thing you’ve got lots of cleansing options. You can use antibacterial soap and warm water, your favorite toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Do NOT boil your Yooo, nor stick it in the dishwasher or you could kill the dual motors. Silicone is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe, so it is an excellent material for sex toys. Fun Factory recommends using a water-based lubricant with their products, and it’s always best to keep silicone toys from touching each other in storage.

The Yooo comes in the typical red and silver Fun Factory packaging, in a plastic clamshell visible through the box. It is not what I’d call discreet. Included is the ever-present sample of Toy Fluid, Fun Factory’s brand of lubricant, and instructions in multiple languages. Fun Factory does well with it’s packaging but I’d like to see two big changes. I really wish they would include storage bags for their toys as the boxes are just overly large to use for storage. I also wish they would offer a version of their rechargeable toys that does not come with a charger. I would rather buy the charger as a standalone item once than collect multiple chargers, especially as the chargers are universal for the Click N’ Charge line.

So here is where things get weird. I feel kinda meh about my Yooo. For some reason it just leaves me feeling frustrated most of the time. I know I’m in the minority here, so I don’t think it’s the toy. The Fun Factory Yooo is cute, unusual, strong, rechargeable, waterproof. It’s everything I like in a sex toy and yet… It just really doesn’t do it for me. The vibrations are deep and rumbly and I still have trouble getting off with my Yooo. Maybe the frequency is just not quite there for me or the shape is just wrong.

Fun Factory Yooo Pros:
• Strong, rumbly vibrations
• Rechargeable
• Silicone
• Waterproof
• Cute

Fun Factory Yooo Cons:
• Have trouble getting off
• Charger tends to slip off
• Lint magnet

I am trying to love the Yooo. I love all the different aspects of it. I love it in theory. We just haven’t quite clicked. It makes me sad, it really does. Do I give up on my Yooo or keep trying? Every time I look at it I wonder what is wrong with me. Maybe I haven’t been creative enough with it yet. Why don’t I love my Yooo? I have no real answer. However, almost everyone I’ve run across who has shaken hands with a Yooo absolutely loves it.

If you want to join the Yooo lovin’ crowd, you can choose between pink, blue, green, and orange. You can find the Fun Factory Yoo at the following stores:
