Are You My Valentine?

As soon as she walks through the doorway, she stops short. Unexpectedly the room is dark, lit only by candlelight. She drops her bag and takes a few hesitant steps forward. Where is he? Stuck at work? Watching the damn football game at Bill’s?

She feels movement behind her, but as she begins to turn around he grabs her by the hair and growls into her ear, “Don’t move.” She freezes as he slides around in front of her, twisting her hair around his hand. She trembles slightly as he presses up against her, his lips just inches from hers. Just when she thinks she can no longer take the anticipation, he kisses her, long and hard. She is still trying to catch her breath when he throws her over his shoulder and starts walking toward the bedroom.

He drops her on the bed and roughly undresses her. She feels the plush blanket, soft against her skin. She is still struggling when he ties her down to the bed. “No,” she whispers faintly. She moans as he chuckles in amusement and lightly slaps her breast.

She hears a faint sound and feels the vibrating silicone softness sliding across her nipple. She gasps when she feels the cold, smooth glass moving inside her, the sensations becoming overwhelming. “You’re mine,” he tells her as her body writhes on the bed. “Yes,” she breathes, “I’m yours.”

Zing Vibrating Butt Plug Review

You all know how much I love butt plugs and Tantus products. So what could be better than a new Tantus butt plug? How about a vibrating Tantus butt plug! Introducing my new baby, the Zing Vibrating Butt Plug from FunWares.

I really enjoy anal play and I’m particularly fond of anal penetration. Thrusting is fun too, don’t get me wrong. However, that penetration, the pop as the plug slides in, the feeling of fullness deep inside is just too delectable. Still, I often want that little extra, dare I say, “zing”? In my quest for the icing on the cake I’ve been known to hold vibrators of all sorts up against the base of my butt plug. That vibrating feeling just takes me to the next level. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to find vibrating anal toys, especially toys of high quality. I just don’t use jelly, latex, PVC, or rubber toys. Sure, I’m all good with TPR, but that’s about as far as I’ll stray from the higher quality materials. Let’s face it. I’m a toy snob. It’s partly a concern about having negative reactions to low quality materials and hey, I’m worth using body-safe materials. Most vibrating anal toys fall into material categories that just don’t work for me. Believe me, I’ve looked. Enter the Tantus Zing. A gorgeous torpedo shaped silicone butt plug that comes with a vibrating bullet. The best of both worlds, high-quality, latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, body-safe silicone with the desired vibrations. Yay!

The Tantus Zing Vibrating Butt Plug comes in typical Tantus packaging, a clear plastic clamshell inside a clear semi-flexible plastic box. The box is decent for storage if you’ve got the space as it easily protects your Zing and keeps it from touching other toys. It’s generally not a good idea for silicone toys to touch each other. Silicone on silicone can have a negative chemical reaction and destroy your sex toys. However, the box is far from discreet, so you may not want to give the Zing as a gift in mixed company or leave it laying around for your little sister to find.

You can use the Zing on its own or turn it into a vibrating butt plug by utilizing the included silver bullet, which fits snugly into the Zing’s base. The single speed bullet has an on/off push button so it is very easy to use. Tantus is kind enough to include the necessary batteries, three LR44 1.5 v. With little watch batteries like these, the vibrations are quite high-pitched and buzzy. Though not my favorite type of vibrations for my clit, they are just fine in my bottom.

My Zing is midnight purple which is just perfect. Not only do I love purple sex toys, but it matches my Tantus Ripple and Ryder perfectly! It’s a beautiful metallic purple with black streaks swirled through and has some lovely ridges around its body. Rather than the typical T-shaped base of my other Tantus anal toys, the Zing’s base is round. I love this base because it’s sits comfortably between my cheeks and there is no way it’s getting sucked inside so I feel totally secure. The Zing has a rather thin neck, 1″, in comparison to the base, which really locks it in place inside my body. I seem to have issues with plugs slipping out in the heat of the moment with all that excited muscle clenching happening. Thankfully the Zing stays put.

The Tantus is 4″ long, with 3 1/2″ insertable, and 1 1/2″ at it’s widest point. The silicone is shiny and smooth with quite a bit of drag and does tend to be a lint magnet. I always recommend using lubricant with anal toys for the sake of comfort and safety. Remember, because the Zing Butt Plug is silicone use only water-based lubricant with it. Silicone-based lube can cause a breakdown in the Zing’s silicone and ruin it.

Silicone is a wonderful material for anal toys as it is easy to clean and can be sterilized. I thought the rings on the Zing’s body would make this more difficult but they are widely spaced enough that it’s not an issue. Removing the vibrating bullet makes the Zing completely waterproof. However, the bullet does not seem to be waterproof, so you may want to remove it before washing the Zing. I’d also recommend using a drop or two of lubricant on the bullet. The first time I used my Zing, I was so impatient I completely forgot. While the bullet slides into the Zing very easily, it’s not so easy to get out after the fact. It took some serious twisting and tugging to get that bullet. I definitely learned my lesson!

The Zing Vibrating Butt Plug is a bit on the small side for me, but it feels heavenly inside. The pointy torpedo shape allows it to slide in oh so gently, with the typical satisfying pop once it gets to that magical moment when it slides the rest of the way in. With the addition of lubricant, the silicone feels smooth and silky sliding into my bottom. I feel the texture of the ridges slightly as the Zing slides in but once inside me I really don’t feel them. Pushing it all the way inside me allows my muscles to clench down on the thin neck and the base nestles right up against me. When I turn the vibrations on, it feels like my body is vibrating from the inside out and I get wet instantly. As the Zing is so secure inside me, I can really relax and enjoy the additional play going on, whether I’m with My Man or by myself. Using a vibrator on my clit with the Zing vibrating inside me makes my entire body hum.

Zing Vibrating Butt Plug Pros:
• Vibrates
• Great shape
• Silicone
• Waterproof

Zing Vibrating Butt Plug Cons:
• Hard to find batteries

The Zing Vibrating Butt Plug is a great high-quality anal toy. Though I’d prefer it to be bigger, it is now one of my favorite butt plugs because it’s so comfortable and secure when it’s inside me and I can wear it comfortably for extended periods of time. Due to the Zing’s size and shape, I feel good about recommending this plug for beginning as well as advanced players. I wish the vibrations were a little stronger but I still find them dreamy. All in all, I am super happy with my Zing and highly recommend it.

If you spend some time on the site, you’ll see FunWares has really great prices on their products. They also offer discreet shipping and most orders ship the same day, which is super fast!

So, get yourself or someone you care about a Tantus Zing Vibrating Butt Plug at FunWares! Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

HIM & HER Review

HIM & HER, The Ultimate Guide To Your Lover, is a lovely boxed set of two books from Fascinations. This set of books is meant for heterosexual couples. HIM is dedicated to “her” and meant to be read by the female partner in the relationship, while HER is dedicated to “him” and meant to be read by the male partner. Quite frankly, I think it is a good idea to read and discuss both, but I’m all about communication.

HIM & HER are good quality hardcover books with tasteful photographs, organized into brief, manageable chapters. They appeal to me visually but slightly less so intellectually as they are very basic. HIM is blue and HER is pink, and this is where the stereotypes begin. Overall the information provided is very stereotypical and superficial, but what can we expect in 83 pages per book? HIM & HER touch on many topics without fully exploring any of them. However, they do so in an attractive and easy to read way, and there are some helpful hints.

HIM & HER appear to be written as companion guides. As you can see, the chapters in the books mirror each other.

HIM by Tseverin Furey
CHAPTER 1 Behold the Man
CHAPTER 2 Love, Sex, and Intimacy: The Guy Version
CHAPTER 3 What’s the Deal With…?
CHAPTER 4 Make the Most of Your Man
CHAPTER 5 Cowboys, Gay Boys, & “Real Men”
CHAPTER 6 What He Doesn’t Know
CHAPTER 7 First Come Love, Then Comes…

HER by Dr. Victoria Zdrok
CHAPTER 1 A Guide to Her Body
CHAPTER 2 Love, Sex, and Intimacy: The Female Version
CHAPTER 3 What’s the Deal With…?
CHAPTER 4 Make the Most of Your Woman
CHAPTER 5 The Good, the Bad, and the Bisexual
CHAPTER 6 What She Doesn’t Know
CHAPTER 7 First Comes Love, Then Comes…

I’m struck by the dichotomy between the writers. Tseverin Furey, author of HIM, is described as “a multimedia artist whose paintings, music, and collage often explore the intersection of humor and sex.” On the other hand, Dr. Victoria Zdrok, author of HER, “has a PhD in clinical psychology, a law degree, and a certificate in sex therapy.” What’s up with that? They get the seriously qualified woman to write about women but go for a humorist to write about men? Not sure how I feel about that…

Both HIM & HER offer directions on how to physically please your partner, from massaging erogenous zones to manual and oral stimulation. They also offer tips and tricks on how to get in sync with your partner mentally and emotionally. While the authors make some good points, I found many of the suggestions in HIM a bit silly. On explaining to your man how you enjoy being stimulated, Furey writes, “Tell your man your body is like a novel in braille. Some parts you can skim; some deserve rereading.” Then again, My Man thought this made sense, so what do I know?

One thing I liked about HIM is that it really opened up communication between My Man and me. We have excellent communication as it is, but this book was a great jumping off point for multiple conversations that led to me understanding him more thoroughly.

HIM & HER Pros
• Visually appealing
• Well-organized
• Easy to read

HIM & HER Cons
• For heterosexual couples only
• Surface information
• Stereotypical

While HIM & HER are certainly not the “ultimate guides” they claim to be, they do provide some useful tidbits of information. Opening up new topics of conversation in always positive in a relationship and I did find these books helpful in doing this. Even in an openly communicative relationship such as the one I have with My Man, there are always new topics to discuss and these books helped spark some interesting conversations. For that, I appreciate HIM & HER. These books do a good job at what they do, which is to provide some basic information and a spring board from which to explore your relationship.

However, if one or both partners takes these books as the gospel truth without double-checking with each other, I could see these beliefs leading to some unpleasant misunderstandings. So remember, while it’s helpful to research and learn more about your partner in general, nothing beats firsthand experience and knowledge of your specific partner. Ask your partner questions so you can truly understand him or her. Talk to each other. Don’t rely on a book to tell you what you need to know about the other person in your relationship.

Check out HIM & HER, as well as other cool books and sex toys, at Fascinations today!

SPOTLIGHT on Fun Factory Yooo at EdenFantasys

Posted by | Spotlight | January 28, 2011

I’m back this week, folks! A big thank you to My Man for handling last week’s Spotlight. I’d had a nasty little virus which triggered a migraine that lasted days. A migraine on top of being sick is just wrong. I am soooo far behind, so please forgive me if the reviews are a bit slow in coming over the next week or two.

Anywho, this week’s spotlight is all about one of my favorite toy companies. Yes, I have many, but I’m referring to Fun Factory. Fun Factory has a brand new toy out, the Yooo. My friend told me it looks like Mickey Mouse and I have to agree.

The Yooo seems to be everything I love in a sex toy. It’s waterproof, rechargeable, and unusual. It just looks like so much fun! It’s silicone, so body-safe. It has two motors, so I’m thinking it’s powerful. Did I mention it’s cute, because it is.

I told My Man I must have this. A clit vibrator that looks like Mickey Mouse? Have I mentioned I am a Mickey freak? Then again, mixing my childhood love of Mickey Mouse with my adult love of sex toys might be a little weird, even for me. Nah…I can pull it off. I’m thinking the Yooo would make a great Valentine’s Day surprise.

Check out the Fun Factory Yooo at EdenFantasys and pick your favorite color!

So until next time….M I C K E Y….
