SPOTLIGHT on Je Joue FiFi

Posted by | Rabbit Style,Spotlight,Vibrators | March 2, 2012

Just last week I reviewed the new Je Joue Uma so I thought this would be a good time to discuss Uma’s cousin the new Je Joue FiFi.

Je Joue FiFi

As you can see, the Je Joue FiFi has a similar shape to the Je Joue Uma with one very big difference. The Je Joue FiFi is a rabbit vibrator. It also has three motors to the Uma’s one, which is pretty impressive. Based on the Uma’s power I am guessing the FiFi offers deep, rumbly, and strong vibrations. FiFi is covered in silicone and uses the same awesome magnetic charger that Uma does. This means the Je Joue FiFi is 100% waterproof and can be fully submersed, which is great for those who like to play in the bath.

The Je Joue FiFi offers both steady vibration and pattern modes. It does have the same type of buttons as the Uma which means the patterns are probably very difficult to access. That could conceivably be a downfall of this sex toy. Nonetheless, I am still very interested in trying it. I do like the vibrations of the Uma and I love a good rabbit vibrator. Here’s hoping a review opportunity comes along!

The Je Joue FiFi is available at the following stores:
Babeland
EdenFantasys
Good Vibrations
PinkCherry

LELO TOR II Review

If you know about LELO pleasure objects, you might be aware of the TOR, one of their vibrating cock rings. What you may or may not know is LELO has recently released a new updated version of the TOR, the TOR II.

LELO-TOR-II-Vibrating-Cock-Ring

As is typical with LELO, the TOR II comes in very nice packaging. The external box, which is made of lightweight cardboard, is green to match the color of my TOR II. This box has an image of the TOR II on its back with a brief explanation. The box inside is very sturdy and discreet and good for storage. Of course, the TOR II also comes with a satin storage bag so you don’t need to take up all that room with the box. Also included in the box is a user manual, the previously mentioned sample of LELO’s personal moisturizer which is glycerin and paraben free, and the one year warranty.

The LELO TOR II is apparently much improved over its previous inception, though I don’t have the original TOR so I cannot compare. It is made completely of silicone which is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe. It is also waterproof. The silicone and the fact that it is waterproof makes the TOR II easy to clean. You can simply wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap like I do, use your favorite sex toy cleaner, or spray it down with a 10% bleach solution. Be sure to clean it carefully and thoroughly. The word “LELO” is imprinted on each side of the TOR II and this really tends to hold onto lube and bodily fluids. I think I’ve gotten it clean, it even looks clean, and then it dries and I have to wash it all over again. My Man did point out that it might actually be soap residue hiding in the letters. Using a toothbrush would probably be helpful for cleaning out the “LELO” and around the DC port. At first I was worried about the exposed DC port and wondered if the TOR II really was waterproof but I have had no problems with charging after washing. Of course, I make sure to let it dry completely before plugging it in. According to LELO, the Tor II should last as long as 10,000 disposable rings if you care for it properly so I suggest doing so.

LELO recommends using water-based lubricant with the TOR II and includes a sample of their personal moisturizer in the box. Lube is helpful when putting the TOR II on, taking it off, or adjusting it. This keeps it from pulling at the skin. I know My Man certainly prefers using lube.

The LELO TOR II is rechargeable which is something I love in a sex toy. To charge, you simply plug the charger into the DC socket on the LELO TOR II. Be sure your TOR II is completely dry before doing so. While charging, the LED on the TOR II will glow red and turn white once it has completely charged. This should take about two hours and give you approximately two hours of play time.

With two interface buttons, the + and – buttons located on either side of the head of the cock ring, the LELO TOR II is straight-forward to use. You turn the TOR II on by pressing down on the + button. To increase power up through its six levels, you press down on the + button. To decrease power and turn the TOR II off, press down on the – button. The TOR II has six levels of steady vibration and five different vibration modes. To access the patterns, press the + button until you are on the highest level of steady vibration and release. Then press and hold the + button for two seconds. When you release you will be on the first pattern. Press the + button to cycle through the pattern modes. To go back to the steady vibration, press and hold the – button.

The vibration patterns are as follows:
1. Medium pulse
2. Fast pulse
3. Increasing vibration
4. Roller coaster
5. Random pattern

The TOR II has a travel/storage lock. To lock, press down on both buttons at the same time for five seconds. To unlock, do the same. I really appreciate a lock on my sex toys as it is no fun to grab one in the heat of the moment only to discover it was accidentally turned on and has no juice left. However, I really have to press down on the buttons firmly in use so I don’t think it’s likely the TOR II would actually be turned on accidentally.

The LELO TOR II is approximately 2.5″ long and 1.75″ wide. It does stretch quite a bit but you really need to put some muscle into it. This allows it to fit men who are a variety of sizes. The TOR II is very quiet, which is great. You don’t want an insanely loud toy distracting you during sex. At least I don’t. It is also surprisingly powerful for such a small vibrator. My Man got me off using the TOR II on its own, which so far is the only way I have gotten off using this toy. However, I don’t generally orgasm from straight intercourse. I really need direct clit stimulation and so far the TOR II just hasn’t worked for me.

LELO TOR II

LELO TOR II

This is the first cock ring I have reviewed as My Man and I don’t really use them. In fact, this is the first time we have used one together and I have been dying to do so. Like most cock rings, the LELO TOR II is quite snug fitting in order to keep him hard longer. However, My Man finds this tightness uncomfortable rather than a turn on. In fact, every time we have used the LELO TOR II it has been a bit difficult to get on even with lubricant. Once on though, the TOR II definitely stays securely in place. He also was not a big fan of the vibration on his penis. I find it an interesting sensation to have intercourse with the TOR II as added stimulation but it really isn’t what I was hoping it would be. I think a big part of it is that I really need constant clit stimulation to orgasm and having sex with the Tor II only provides intermittent stimulation. No matter the position we’re in it doesn’t seem to hit my clit just right or for long enough.

LELO Tor II Pros:
• Silicone
• Waterproof
• Rechargeable
• Quiet
• Strong

LELO Tor II Cons:
• Overly snug on him
• Doesn’t get me off during sex

If you and your partner are really into vibrating cock rings, the LELO TOR II does have a lot of things going for it. It is waterproof, rechargeable, quiet, and strong. However, the LELO TOR II just doesn’t really do it for my partner and me. He doesn’t enjoy the constricted feeling or the vibration and while I like the added stimulation, it has not brought me to orgasm. I feel a bit out of my element with this review as I have not reviewed a cock ring before and don’t have all that much experience with them. However, I’m fairly certain the lack of enjoyment on our part was really due to personal preference rather than a failure on the part of the cock ring. What I really learned was more about us rather than the LELO TOR II. Cock rings just don’t seem to do it for us or at least this one didn’t and our experience was ho hum enough that I don’t think we’ll be running out to try any additional cock rings in the near future.

You can pick up your own TOR II directly from LELO and while you’re there check out their other really cool pleasure objects.

SPOTLIGHT on Crave Duet

There is a cool new little vibrator out there called the Crave Duet.

Crave-Duet-Vibrator

The Crave Duet is a high-end vibrator that is sexy and slinky in design. It has dual motors which could conceivably make it quite powerful. The different surfaces of the vibrator provide different intensities of vibration allowing you to customize your experience. Made of metal and silicone, the Crave Duet is compact and sleek and comes with a leather storage pouch. You all know how I love a good storage pouch. It is 100% waterproof and is rechargeable via USB which is somewhat unusual and very cool. It is also supposed to be incredibly quiet. The Crave Duet has four power levels and four vibration modes and comes in three colors, chocolate, black, and crimson.

One really nifty thing about the Crave Duet is that it was partially funded by online contributions on ckie.com. So it had some serious fans even before it was actually produced.

Overall, there is quite a lot going for the Crave Duet. It has some great features and is very aesthetically pleasing. I would love to get my hands on one of these new vibrators to test it out. Right now both Babeland and Good Vibrations carry the Crave Duet so head on over to one or both of these stores and check out the Crave Duet.

Je Joue Uma Review

Je Joue, the manufacturer of my lovely Ami, recently came out with a new vibrator, the Uma. Being a fan of Je Joue, I decided to review this little beauty.

Je-Joue-Uma

Unlike the Ami, which is a set of kegelcisors, the Je Joue Uma is a g-spot and clit vibrator. Like the Ami, the Uma is covered in soft, silky silicone. I love this particular silicone because it doesn’t attract lint and dust like most silicone does. It is also very smooth with less drag than most of my other silicone sex toys. Of course, silicone is great for sex toys because it is latex and phthalate-free, non-porous, hypoallergenic, and body-safe. It is easy to clean with antibacterial soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner. You can even sterilize the Je Joue Uma by washing it down with a 10% bleach solution. This allows you to share it with non-fluid bonded partners if you have the desire.

The silicone does not have much drag to it so most often my natural lubrication sufficient, but lube is always a good idea. Remember to use water-based lubricant with the Je Joue Uma as silicone-based lube can negatively react with the silicone of the toy. For this reason, be cautious in storing your Uma with other silicone sex toys. It is best to store it in its box or some sort of storage bag so you don’t run into any issues.

The Je Joue Uma is 7″ long with almost as much of it as you want being insertable. Practically though, you probably won’t insert much more than 4″ as it is meant to stimulate your g-spot. It is a slim 1.25″ in diameter and it is totally hard under its smooth silicone exterior. This makes it a great option for g-spot stimulation, especially for those who prefer firm pressure on their g-spot. The handle, or area you grip with your hand, is slightly larger in diameter at closer to 1.7″. This handle fits comfortably in my hand and makes for easy gripping.

You operate the Je Joue Uma through the use of three buttons on the bottom of the handle. Two of these buttons (the + and -) are silver in color and protrude slightly from the vibrator, while the third button (it looks like an S on its side) sits flush with the base of the toy and is the same color as the silicone. This button controls the patterns. To turn on the Je Joue Uma, you hold the + button down for two seconds. To turn off you do the same with the – button. To increase the speed, press down on the + button and to decrease the speed, press down on the – button. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I have read some reviews (of course I read other people’s reviews!) complaining about these buttons. Some people find them very difficult to press. I do not. I do have to apply firm pressure when pressing so there’s no way I can accidentally change settings during play, which I like. The third button, however, is another story. As I mentioned before, the sideways S button controls the vibrational patterns and is SO freaking hard to push. I’m lucky I have long nails otherwise I have no idea how I would push it. Even so, if I want to use the patterns while masturbating I have to set it and forget it. It is practically impossible to switch the patterns up with the Je Joue Uma inside me or on my clit. Just forget it. It is frustrating as hell so I end up never using the patterns, which makes them practically useless. Sad. I like patterns, but I am basically forced to use the Je Joue Uma as a straight vibration toy due to my inability to press the damn S button.

Having said that, I do like the vibrations of the Je Joue Uma. They are plenty strong for me, such that while I sometimes use it on its highest level, I don’t always have to do so. I find the vibrations of the Je Joue Uma to be quite deep. They are especially rumbly on the lowest settings and increase slightly in pitch on the highest but they are far from buzzy. The Je Joue Uma is also very quiet. Even on its highest setting it can only be slightly heard under the covers and certainly not through the closed bedroom door. The lowest setting is very mild while the highest is comparable to my Leaf Fresh.

The instruction booklet claims the Je Joue Uma has seven levels of steady vibration and seven different patterns. However, I detect only five levels of steady vibration and six different patterns. I suppose the seventh is actually the steady vibrations.
1. Fast pulse
2. Escalating
3. Medium pulse
4. Faster pulsing
5. Longer pulsing
6. Slow, long pulsing

One thing I really love about the Je Joue Uma is that it is great for using during penetrative sex, especially during doggy style and anal. The longer handle makes it easy to hold against my clit while my partner enters me from behind. It is much easier to do this with the Je Joue Uma than a smaller clit vibrator because of the length of the handle. This is a really good way for me to get some clit stimulation during penetration. As a g-spot vibrator, the Je Joue Uma does an adequate job. I prefer toys with a more extreme curve but the hardness works well at stimulating my g-spot. I really like the combination of using the Uma against my clit, then slipping it inside to rub my g-spot, then moving it back to my clit. I am a clit-oriented girl after all.

The Je Joue Uma is rechargeable, which I totally adore. Even better, it charges magnetically so there are no open ports to allow water in, making it 100% waterproof. You truly can wash it and submerge it without fear. The magnetic charger is very easy to align and use. The metal buttons on the bottom of the Je Joue Uma are the feeds for the charger. The charger attaches and stays on easily, and when the vibrator is charging the small heart on the underside of the handle flashes red. When fully charged, this light will glow steadily. A two hour charge will provide approximately two hours of play time.

Like other Je Joue sex toys, the Uma comes in quite nice packaging. The outer box is lightweight cardboard, and in my case, purple. The inner box is hard and sturdy and good for storage. This box holds the Uma, its charger, and an instruction manual in six languages that explains Uma’s one year warranty and among other things.

Je Joue Uma Pros:
• Rumbly vibrations
• Easy to use during penetration
• Great silicone
• Waterproof
• Rechargeable

Je Joue Uma Cons:
• Middle button (patterns) is basically useless during play
• No storage bag

Just as I really liked the Je Joue Ami, so do I like the Je Joue Uma. The Uma is more than strong enough for me with its deep vibrations. It is easy to manage during sex and I love its silky silicone. The fact that it is waterproof makes cleaning worry-free and gives it versatility. As it is rechargeable I can use it as long as I want without having to worry that I’m running down the batteries. My only real complaint is that stupid middle S button. It is so difficult to use that I just don’t bother, which creates an unnecessary limitation with this vibrator. If it weren’t for this button, I would probably give the Uma 4 beans. However, since this is a major design flaw I can only go as high as 3 beans. Nonetheless, I do still really like the vibrations of this vibrator.

You can pick up your own Je Joue Uma at EdenFantasys. They carry it in purple, lavender, and fuchsia.

SPOTLIGHT on Fun Factory Fou

Fun Factory, one of my favorite sex toy manufacturers, has a brand new vibrator out. It’s called the Fou and is currently being carried by EdenFantasys.

Fun-Factory-Fou

The Fun Factory Fou is a new external clit stimulator that is made of silicone and plastic and reminds me a bit of the Fun Factory Yooo. They are both unusual in design and come in fun colors. Like the Yoo, the Fou is rechargeable and uses the same magnetic charger as the Yoo and the rest of the Fun Factory Clink ‘N’ Charge line. This makes it 100% waterproof as there are no open ports into which water can seep. It has three vibration programs and booster button that allows you to choose your program easily. I like the looks of that cutout on top which seems like it might give me a nice pointy tip with which to tease my clit. I love pinpoint stimulation on my clit. It also looks like it would cup my nipples well. This is also the first Fun Factory I’m aware of that comes with a storage bag. Yay, Fun Factory!

Head over to EdenFantasys and check out the new Fun Factory Fou and all their other cool sex toys today.
