There aren’t nearly as many high quality toys for men as there for women, but this week I am going to discuss a rather interesting men’s sex toy. Have you heard of the RealTouch Interactive Sex Device for Men at EdenFantasys? The RealTouch is a unique interactive virtual sex device for men. It consists of a large sleeve into which you insert your penis while watching porn. The RealTouch syncs with the videos you are watching to mimic the acts you see on the screen. In this way you are supposed to get the feeling of having anal or vaginal sex or getting a blowjob.

The interior of the sleeve is a custom-made material that is supposed to feel like real skin. It does feel really cool on the fingers at least. I obviously can’t tell you how it feels on a penis. The RealTouch heats up and squeezes to recreate the feeling of actually being inside someone’s body. It has settings that allow you to control the heat level, lubricant application, and speed of the internal workings. It really does seem to be a complicated piece of machinery.

In order to use the RealTouch, you must be watching videos. There is no default mode that allows you just to use the sleeve on its own. There are different ways to watch. The RealTouch comes with 10 videos on a DVD, as well as Four “Male Enhancement” Videos, whatever that means. Then there is the Video On Demand Theater which gives you a few different options. You can pay per minute (which would seem to me to be rather expensive), you can rent full videos, or you can purchase them. I will say the videos do have some big name porn stars, so that is probably a plus for those porn aficionados, and the RealTouch is available for both gay and straight men.

I saw the RealTouch at ANE last year and got to play with it a little. That is, I got to stick my fingers inside it. The guy selling it swore by it and told me how amazing it is, but of course, he’s selling it so what’s he going to say? The sleeve was rather large and heavy and seemed unwieldy, though he claimed it isn’t. It also seems like it might be complicated to use and clean. Additionally, it is currently not Mac compatible. I really wonder if it’s worth the high price tag and the trouble to set up. If I had a penis, I would really want to try it.

Recently I reviewed the LELO Nea, a small clit stimulator that I liked very much. So I decided it was time to review another LELO clit stimulator that I bought a while ago and have had laying around the house, the LELO SIRI.

As I mentioned before, the LELO SIRI is a small clitoral massager, though it’s quite a bit bigger than the LELO Nea, as you can see. Though bigger than the Nea, the LELO SIRI is still on the small side and fits easily in the palm of my hand. It is 3.75″ long and 1.75″ wide. It is made of ABS and silicone, both of which are great materials for sex toys. The silicone of the LELO SIRI is very soft and smooth, like most of LELO’s toys. It is also latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe. These materials can easily be cleaned with antibacterial soap and warm water or your favorite sex toy cleaner. The SIRI is not waterproof, so be careful when washing not to get any fluid in the charging port. You can use a 10% bleach solution on the silicone part of the SIRI, which is the colorful portion. This will sterilize the silicone so you can share your SIRI with non-fluid bonded partners.

As the SIRI is part silicone, and this is the portion you use against the body, you want to use water-based lubricant with it. Silicone-based lube can cause a negative chemical reaction in the silicone of the LELO SIRI. Though the silicone is very smooth without much drag, you might want to use a small amount of water-based lube. This way it will be nice and slippery and slidey against your clit and labia. I generally find my own lubrication sufficient, but I tend toward getting quite wet.

Like all LELO sex toys, the SIRI is rechargeable. You simply plug the charging cord into the port on the back of the vibrator. Charging takes about two hours and while charging the LED will flash white. When the charging is complete, the LED will glow steadily. When the battery is running low, SIRI will let you know with a red glow from the LED. Your two hour charge will provide you with up to four hours of play time, depending on how you use the vibrator.

The design of the LELO SIRI is simple. There are four buttons on the front of the SIRI, +, -, up arrow, and down arrow. To turn the SIRI on and increase intensity, press the + button. To turn decrease intensity and turn the SIRI off, press the – button. You can also hold the – button down for several seconds wherever you are in the stimulation modes to turn the SIRI off. The up and down arrows scroll through the pulsation patterns. When pressing a button, the white LEDs on all the buttons light up. The buttons can also be used to lock the SIRI during travel or storage so that it does not turn on accidentally. Hold down on the + and – buttons for five seconds and watch the LED light up, then turn off. When they turn off, the SIRI is locked. To unlock just do the same thing until the buttons light up again, indicating the SIRI is unlocked.

Be sure to press down firmly on the up and down arrows when scrolling through the pulsation patterns. The stimulation modes on the LELO SIRI are as follows:
1. Steady vibration
2. Slow pulse
3. Fast pulse
4. Long, slow pulse
5. Roller coaster
6. All over the place

The vibrations of the LELO SIRI are nice and deep, and relatively strong, especially for a clit vibrator. The SIRI is not terribly loud, though the person next to you might hear it if they are awake. I don’t know that it would wake anyone from a deep sleep. It certainly cannot be heard through my closed bedroom door.

I really love how the smooth silicone of the LELO SIRI feels against my skin, and I find the control panel very easy to use, even with my long nails. I find the SIRI comfortable to hold. It doesn’t make my hand cramp up or go numb from buzzy vibrations. I like the pulsation patterns quite a bit, especially number six. It’s odd but it does it for me. The SIRI easily brings me to orgasm with it’s strong, deep vibrations. Granted, the vibrations are not the most powerful in the world, but I find them very satisfying. The SIRI also works nicely at stimulating the nipples and labia, and the soft silicone really feels good against the skin. One thing I really love about the SIRI is that I can scroll up and down through the patterns. I don’t have to go through everything and start all over. If I skip the pattern that I want, I can just hit the down arrow and go right back to it. Overall, it’s a great little vibrator that comes in red, pink, and purple.

The packaging of the LELO SIRI is similar to the other LELO packaging I’ve seen. As I have the red SIRI, the outer box is red, with an image of the SIRI on the back. The inner box is the same hard, black box I’ve seen before. It is very sturdy and great for storage. If you don’t want to use the box you can always use the satin storage pouch included by LELO. The SIRI comes in a big plastic bubble sealed inside a cardboard envelope. Also in the box are the charger, a sample of LELO’s water-based lubricant, the one year warranty, and the user manual. The shape is great. It is rechargeable. There are just so many things to love about the LELO SIRI. In fact, I would give it five beans if it was waterproof. Alas, it’s not so I am subtracting one half bean. I love the travel lock, not so much because I travel frequently, but because I can lock the SIRI while I’m storing it. The SIRI comes in attractive colors. It’s one of only a few red vibrators I own as they are hard to come by. If you’re looking for a solid clit vibrator that combines form and function, I highly recommend the LELO SIRI.

I have heard nothing but good things about OhMiBod sex toys so when the opportunity to review one came around, I jumped at it. Just last year, OhMiBod introduced the Freestyle W, the newest of their musical vibrators, and it can be found at MyPleasure.

What makes the OhMiBod Freestyle W stand out from the rest of the OhMiBod line is that it is a rabbit vibrator. I love rabbit vibrators. They allow me to be stimulated both internally and externally at the same time. As I am generally a lazy masturbator, I like to be able to get both types of stimulation from one toy rather than having to use two at once.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W is a good-sized vibrator at 8.75″, with 5″ being insertable, and 1.5″ in diameter. The handle is plastic while the shaft and clitoral arm are made of bright blue silicone. I love the color. Granted, color isn’t a truly important aspect in a vibrator but aesthetics do help. The clitoral arm is almost solid silicone that probably has some wires running through it, while the shaft is silicone wrapped around electronic parts. The top half of the shaft is somewhat flexible, though still firm when I squeeze it. The clitoral arm is also bendy. There is a slight seam running all along the shaft and clitoral arm of the Freestyle W, but I don’t feel it when I’m using the vibrator.

As the OhMiBod Freestyle W is silicone, you want to use water-based lubricant with it because silicone-based lube can react negatively with the silicone of the vibrator. There is quite a bit of drag to the silicone of the Freestyle W so I recommend using using a fair amount of lubricant. The Freestyle W is easy to care for and clean due to the silicone and plastic materials. You can simply use warm water and antibacterial soap, your favorite sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution on the silicone parts of the vibrator. Cleaning the vibrator with bleach will allow you to share it between non-fluid bonded partners as the bleach sterilizes the silicone. You can also use water or a sex toy cleaner on the plastic handle of the Freestyle W, but it is only splash proof so be careful not to get any fluid in the charging port.

Silicone is latex and phthalate-free, mostly non-porous, and hypoallergenic, so it is a very safe material for sex toys. Just be sure to store your silicone toys separately from each other and other toys to keep any negative chemical reactions from happening. Fortunately, OhMiBod provides you with a satin storage bag or, as they call it, a “privacy pouch” in which to store your Freestyle W.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W has a control pad shaped like a flower that pivots in five directions. There is the little music note which turns on the Music Mode, a symbol that turns on Manual Mode, up and down arrows which control the intensity of the vibrations and cycle through the patterns, and the Off petal. I was a bit confused at first because the arrow that points down is actually the petal that increases the intensity of the vibrations, while the arrow pointing up decreases the intensity. Of course, this is looking at the vibrator straight on. When it is inside me, everything points the way I would expect. When you turn the Freestyle W on in Manual Mode, the LED around the flower lights up. When you turn on Music Mode, the LED flashes.

There are three levels of steady vibration and four pulsation patterns. To increase the intensity of the vibration, push on the down arrow. After the third level of intensity the next press will bring you to the first pulsation pattern. You scroll up through the pulsation patterns with the down arrow. To go back to a different pulsation pattern or the steady vibration, use the up arrow. The Freestyle W has no memory so no matter where you turn it off it always turns on at the lowest level of vibration. I find the flower button a bit difficult to use with my long nails. I sometimes press the Off button when I’m trying to press the down arrow. I’m not sure if this would be an issue sans nails, but it’s possible as there are no discrete buttons. The patterns are as follows:
1. Slow pulse
2. Medium pulse
3. Fast pulse
4. Two short pulses, one long pulse

Of course, one of the main reasons to purchase the OhMiBod Freestyle W is the Music Mode. If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you can purchase an application on the Apple App Store for $.99 that will allow you to interact with your Freestyle W via music. One very cool thing about this is that you can do it without having to attach any wires to the Freestyle W. You simply press the Music Mode button, then connect the included transmitter to your iPhone or iPod. You then connect your earbuds to the other side of the transmitter or you can use the included cable to connect the transmitter to the AUX-In on your stereo or speakers. Use the dial on the side of the transmitter to turn it on and adjust the Freestyle W’s sensitivity to the music. Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPhone and my iPod has been acting up so I haven’t purchased the OhMiBod app, which is called OhMiBod Remote. I think it would be great if OhMiBod put out an Android application considering the size of the Android market.

For some reason I was expecting the OhMiBod Freestyle W to be very powerful and it really isn’t. Even with its three speeds, it is only moderate in intensity. The vibrations are also moderate in sensation. They are more middle of the road, definitely not deep and rumbly, but not really buzzy either. They do the job but are nothing to write home about. One good thing about the Freestyle W is that it isn’t terribly loud. You can certainly hear it if you’re in the same room but you can’t hear it all through a closed door.

I like the OhMiBod Freestyle W well enough but it doesn’t rock my world. I don’t really notice the waves when thrusting like I was hoping I would. The vibrations are weaker than I was expecting which was a disappointment, and they are not as deep I would like. Nonetheless, the OhMiBod Freestyle W does bring me to orgasm, albeit on the highest level of intensity only. I do like the patterns, which run at the highest level of intensity. The Freestyle W also fits my body well. The clitoral arm curves around and hits my clit while the shaft is penetrating me and provides a bit of pressure, which I really like. ly move it up and down. If you need it in a different position, you are out of luck.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W is rechargeable and requires two hours to charge fully, though mine did arrive with some charge to it. This two hour charge will provide you with up to three hours of play time, depending upon how you use the Freestyle W, and 60 days of standby time. While charging, the LED around the control panel will flash and the LED on the charger will glow red. When charging is complete the LED on the charger will glow green to let you know the charging is done.

The packaging of the OhMiBod Freestyle W is surprisingly huge. This is because OhMiBod includes the charging plug in a U.S. format, along with three adapters for other countries. This is very kind of them, though unnecessary for me as I have no immediate plans to travel out of the country with my Freestyle W. I suppose it keeps OhMiBod from having to issue different versions for different countries. Of course, if you are traveling out of the country this will make it easy. Also included in the very large and sturdy box are the music transmitter with its required two AAA batteries (kudos to OhMiBod for including the batteries), the cable you need for Music Mode, the satin privacy pouch, and the user manual. As I mentioned, the box is quite sturdy and serves well for storing all the bits and pieces included with the Freestyle W, but it is also large and takes up a lot of room. If you don’t have the storage space, you might just want to store the Freestyle W in the privacy pouch and the rest of the pieces in a plastic baggie. OhMiBod provides a three year standard warranty on the Freestyle W, which is quite good.

The OhMiBod line of sex toys offers a unique experience that can’t really be found elsewhere. It’s really too bad that the OhMiBod Remote application is not available for Android. I would have liked to take advantage of the Freestyle W’s Music Mode. Other than that, the Freestyle W is a relatively standard rabbit vibrator in a nifty blue silicone. I find the control button a bit challenging to use but I think that is probably a long nail issue rather than a flaw in the design. I am less than thrilled with the vibrations of the OhMiBod Freestyle W, which is really where it disappoints me. While I can get off with this vibrator, not everyone will be able to because the vibrations are not terribly strong. Still, the shape does work for me so the vibrator is not a total dud. If you have an iPhone, the desire to play with the Music Mode, and don’t need super strong vibrations, the Freestyle W is probably worth the investment.
