Edible Body Chocolate Review

Babeland’s Edible Body Chocolate is simply heavenly! A dark chocolate cream you can lick off your partner’s (or your own) skin. Yum!

Edible Body Chocolate is thick and creamy with a very slight grainy feel as I rub it on to my man’s skin and my own. That’s right. I’ve slapped it on my own skin…more than once. You think I sat around and waited for my man before trying it? Not a chance. It’s chocolate!

It has a rich, heavy dark chocolate taste. It’s slightly bitter with delicious hints of vanilla and coconut. Edible Body Chocolate tastes very much like what it is…a high end, organic dark chocolate cream. The weather definitely effects the consistency. Of course, I had to touch and taste it right away when it arrived. It had obviously been sitting in the warm UPS truck for a while because it was warm, rich, and creamy on my fingers and tongue. When the temperature dropped, my Edible Body Chocolate firmed up quite a bit and became more of a thick paste. It’s easy to warm up the Chocolate. I simply hold the pot in my hands for a few minutes or let it warm on the skin. Once at body temperature, the grainy feeling goes away. Be sure to mix your Edible Body Chocolate well before using.

Edible Body Chocolate is perfect for writing naughty messages or painting indecent pictures on your partner’s skin. I like to use my finger as a writing utensil, but you can use a spoon, the back end of a knife, or even a small paint brush if you want. Of course, I’d suggest using something you can lick afterward so you get every last bit of the chocolate.

Now, Ladies, for those of you who are susceptible to yeast infections, you’re going to want to keep this Edible Body Chocolate away from your girliest bits. It does contain sugar and sugar is not always your best friend. The introduction of sugar into your most delicate area can change the pH of the environment and encourage the overgrowth of yeast…hence, a yeast infection.

Be careful when you’re rolling around with Edible Body Chocolate smeared all over yourself. Chocolate can stain the sheets, your clothes, the carpet, etc. You’ll probably be able to get it out of the carpet but it could leave spots on everything else. Nope, I can’t speak from experience as I was very careful not to stain anything with my chocolate! Sorry, folks, I just wasn’t willing to go that far!

Very small, thin amounts of Edible Body Chocolate will mostly dry on the skin and be more difficult to smear but thicker, creamier deposits will remain wet and smearable. However, no matter how dry I allowed the Edible Body Chocolate to get, I was able to lick it right off. No stickiness, no need for water, soap, or towels…a tongue is all that’s required. Let me tell you…this Chocolate is sooo tasty, it isn’t easy to just let it sit there and dry!

Edible Body Chocolate comes in a dark colored pot (to protect the chocolate) with a screw on top, and is available in two sizes, 1 and 4 ounces. The label is discreet and classy, though it does say “edible” and “by Babeland” in small letters. It looks more like a bath and body product than a sensual body cream, and most people probably won’t read it closely if they happen to see it laying out. Unless it’s your friend who is obsessed with all body lotions and sticks her fingers in everything. That could be both embarrassing and very amusing… However, you are supposed to store Edible Body Chocolate in a cool, dark place to keep it fresh so that just be sure to put it away. :) Remember to use it up as Edible Body Chocolate has an 18 month shelf life. Quite frankly I’m amazed mine has lasted 18 minutes, so I’m not too concerned about 18 months.

This stuff looks and sounds so delicious. I may have to request some for review.

Sounds nice, but can you tell me why this and not just regular chocolate syrup?

    • Beanfiddler says:

The Edible Body Chocolate is thick and creamy and stays where you put it. It also cleans up easily and doesn’t feel sticky on my skin. Chocolate syrup tends to be runny, messy, and sticky. I find chocolate syrup to have an overly sweet, almost fake flavor, whereas the Edible Body Chocolate tastes like real dark chocolate and is delicious. I’m also a big fan of organic, Fair Trade products. I wish I had more!
