SPOTLIGHT on Babeland Holiday Gift Guides

So now that Halloween is over and November is here, it is time to turn our thoughts to the upcoming holidays. I know, I know, it’s not even Thanksgiving yet and here I am talking about Channukah and Christmas. While I really don’t like that Christmas decorations were up in stores even before Halloween this year, it is never too early for holiday shopping. If I see something that just screams someone’s name I’ll buy it and save it until the appropriate holiday. I just hate to leave everything until the last minute.

This year I am determined to get everything done in advance so I am shopping right now. Of course, I prefer to shop online. It’s easy, there are no lines, no traffic, and everything is sent to my door. I love it!

Speaking of online shopping, have you seen Babeland’s Holiday Gift Guides? They have some great ideas for gifts for your loved ones this year. What’s better than treating the people you love to some fun and exciting ways for them to love themselves and each other?

Babeland has kindly split up their gift guides into price ranges to make shopping even easier. While I would probably be happy with most of the items on their gift guides, I thought I would go through and recommend a couple of my favorites.

Edible-Body-Chocolate

Under $40
I highly recommend the Edible Body Chocolate. Made by Sweet Beauty, it is organic and vegan, and made with fair trade chocolate. It tastes delicious and makes for some great couples play. Not only that, but it is super inexpensive and would be a fun stocking stuffer. You can read my review of the Edible Body Chocolate here.

Toyfriend-Rocket-Vibrators

$40-100
Toyfriend makes cute and very useful vibrators. They are fun shapes, exciting colors and most importantly, great in use. I have several Toyfriends and the Curvy Yellow Toyfriend Rocket is my favorite. It is a reasonably priced vibrator that can be used for external or internal stimulation, and it even comes with batteries, an extra gift! Read my review of the Curvy Yellow Toyfriend Rocket here.

Fun-Factory-Paulina-Vibrator

$100+
Fun Factory is one of my favorite manufacturers and the Fun Factory Paulina is a great rechargeable rabbit vibrator. It is bright purple silicone and has steady vibrations as well as patterns. Paulina would make a great gift for a fun-loving woman in your life. She can be used alone or with a partner. Read my review of the Fun Factory Paulina Vibrator here.

Head over to Babeland and check out their Holiday Gift Guides. There are many more cool products than I have mentioned here. Treat the men, women, and couples in your life to some holiday fun, and while you’re there pick up something for yourself as well. You deserve it!

Kama Sutra Strawberry Sweet Heart Box Review

I haven’t tried that many Kama Sutra products, but I have heard really good things about them. I decided to try the Kama Sutra Sweet Heart Box in Strawberry from FunWares.

The Kama Sutra Sweet Heart Box comes in a cute red heart shaped cardboard box. It showcases the included products on a bed of chopped brown paper.

The Kama Sutra Sweet Heart Box includes the following:
• Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé
• White Chocolate Chocolate Body Paint with bristle brush applicator
• Strawberry Honey Dust with feather applicator

Kama Sutra Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé

Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé
The Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé comes in a 1.8 ounce plastic jar and is billed as a kissable massage cream. To me, kissable means lickable so I’ve licked it many a time. The Body Soufflé has the light scent and flavor of strawberry candy. I wouldn’t eat spoonfuls of it but it’s quite good for an edible body product. It’s smooth and creamy against my skin and feels good when rubbed in. It leaves my skin feeling soft and silky with no greasy residue and I feel no need to shower or wash myself off after using the Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé. I can simply put my clothes on or roll over and go to sleep. In fact, it can be used as a lovely scented body cream, and if you get hungry you can always just start gnawing on your own arm.

Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé contains the following ingredients:
Water, Ethylexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Flavor, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparraqfin, Laureth-7, PEG-100 Stearate, Carbomer, Sodium Saccharin, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Red 40, Red 33, Benzyl Alcohol.

Granted, this is not an organic product. There are plenty of chemicals in this body cream. However, my sensitive skin enjoys the nourishment it provides and I appreciate the scent and flavor. Please bear in mind this Body Soufflé contains glycerin and thus should not be used internally as glycerin is a sugar and has been linked to increased incidences of yeast infections in women.

Kama Sutra White Chocolate Body Paint

White Chocolate Body Paint
White Chocolate Body Paint comes in a 2 ounce glass jar with a short plastic and bristle brush for painting. I am not a fan of the brush at all. It’s cute but the bristles are very stiff. Perhaps this is necessary because the White Chocolate Body paint is quite creamy. It’s possible a softer brush wouldn’t work at all, not that this brush works well. It does grab the creamy body paint but it just sort of pushes it around on the skin. The brush just doesn’t do a great job of painting with the White Chocolate. The White Chocolate Body Paint feels somewhat sticky on my skin. It’s not pleasant like the Strawberry Cream Body Soufflé. I just don’t enjoy playing with it very much.

The flavor of the White Chocolate Body Paint is odd. If I were doing a blind taste test, I might guess it was supposed to be cream soda. I just don’t get much of a white chocolate flavor from it, though it is very sweet. There is also a strange aftertaste that is a bit like alcohol. I don’t drink and am very sensitive to alcohol. I realize there is alcohol in this product but I’m probably just tasting the vanillin or picking up on some weird chemical flavor. I like my sweets, but this is just way too sweet and chemical-y for me. It’s not the worst thing I’ve ever tasted, but it’s certainly not the best.

White Chocolate Body Paint contains the following ingredients:
Corn Syrup, Palm Kernal Oil, Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Non-fat Dried Milk, Whole Milk, Glycerol-Lacto Esters of Fatty Acids, Soya Lecithin, Salt, Vanillin, Ethyl Alcohol, Water, Food Starch, Titanium Diozide, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate.

Kama Sutra Strawberry Honey Dust

Strawberry Honey Dust
The 2 ounces of Strawberry Honey Dust comes in a small plastic bag inside a red satin drawstring pouch with a mini feather duster applicator. You are meant to use the feather applicator to lightly dust this kissable dust on your lover’s body. Then you can kiss or lick it away. The Strawberry Honey Dust is a lovely shade of pink, achieved through food coloring, of course.

Unlike original Honey Dust which smells very much Honeysuckle flowers, the Strawberry Honey Dust doesn’t have much of a scent. If anything, it smells lightly of powder with a barely discernible sweetness to it. Unfortunately, there is also not much flavor to the Strawberry Honey Dust. Being a big fan of the original Honey Dust, I was excited to try its strawberry cousin but I was a bit disappointed. The flavor is so faint it is barely there. It is almost an aftertaste of strawberry ice cream, which is quite nice. However, if I didn’t know it was supposed to be strawberry, I’m not sure I’d be able to determine the taste.

Strawberry Honey Dust contains the following ingredients:
Corn Starch, Modified Glucose, Zea Mays Starch, Honey, Flavor, Silica, Sodium Saccharine, Red 33, Red 40.

Kama Sutra Strawberry Sweet Heart Box Pros:
• Cute Box
• Good as a gift
• Sample sizes
• Strawberry Cream Body Soufflé is yummy

Kama Sutra Strawberry Sweet Heart Box Cons:
• White Chocolate Body Paint
• Strawberry Honey Dust

Though I still want to try more Kama Sutra products, this one has been disappointing. I really like the Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé but the both the White Chocolate Body Paint and Strawberry Honey Dust are a bust for me. On its own, I’d give the Strawberry Crème Body Soufflé a solid four beans but I just cannot rate the entire set this high due to White Chocolate Body Paint and Strawberry Honey Dust.

Keep in mind that FunWares offers discreet shipping and most orders ship the same day, which is very fast. The Sweet Heart Box also comes in chocolate, so check this and the many other Kama Sutra products out at FunWares!

Fun Factory Colore Moi Kissable Body Paint Review

The last time I played with edible body paint I was very disappointed. It tasted awful and the colors were barely there. So when I heard about Fun Factory’s Colore Moi Kissable Body Paint from Fascinations, I was curious. I love Fun Factory and their products are very high quality. I was hoping for a completely different experience and I found it.

Fun Factory Kissable Body Paint comes in a 1.36 fluid ounce tube which should provide hours and hours of fun and creativity for most people. My Kissable Body Paint is Strawberry. Strawberries are one of my favorite fruits, so I am a bit picky about strawberry flavored treats. Are you familiar with Hickory Farms? Do you remember those little strawberry candies that used to come in their gift baskets? Maybe they still do. It’s been years… Anyway, my Fun Factory Strawberry Kissable Body Paint tastes just like those strawberry candies. Yummy!

Fun Factory Kissable Body Paint is extremely bright in color and opaque so it really stands out on the skin, even against my freckles. Now, I can’t take credit for the artsy pictures. This week, my man got creative and took most of the photos.

Fascinations kindly sent me a beautiful Fun Factory paint brush as well. For the price, it’s absolutely worth purchasing along with your Body Paint. You can easily squeeze the paint out onto your finger for application or apply directly to the skin, but my man and I bother prefer using the silky white paint brush.

The only slight downside to the Kissable Body Paint is that it’s somewhat sticky. Due to the stickiness, I find it easier to apply the paint with the brush, especially when painting more precise images, such as letters. In the past I painted with oils and acrylics (as opposed to body paint) so I like the experience of the paintbrush in my hand. I feel all artsy and creative. I also really enjoy the the sensual feel of the brush softly smoothing the Kissable Body Paint onto my skin. It adds to the sensation.

Kissable Body Paint is easy to remove. Simply use a damp cloth or my preferred method, a damp tongue. One issue with tongue cleansing, is that after a bit my skin feels slightly tight where there was Body Paint. It’s probably due to the fact that the Body Paint isn’t completely removed by saliva. It doesn’t bother me really, it’s more of an interesting sensation. However, you may want to wipe down with water or shower after use.

For the most part, Kissable Body Paint does not seem to really dry. When I apply it very thin and sparingly so it’s barely there it will, but if I apply it with normal thickness it remains moist and tacky. I wouldn’t recommend painting yourself (or your partner) and throwing clothes on over the Body Paint. I have been very careful not to get Kissable Body Paint on sheets or clothing because it looks like it might stain.

Fun Factory Colore Moi Kissable Body Paint contains the following ingredients:
Carmine CL 75470, Calcium Chloride, Acetic Acid, B-Carotene, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Fragaria Chiloensis (Strawberry) Fruit Juice, Maltodextrin, Maltitol, Aqua (Water)

Fun Factory Kissable Body Paint Pros:
• Bright color
• Smells and tastes great
• Easy to use

Fun Factory Kissable Body Paint Cons:
• Slightly sticky

Fun Factory Kissable Body Paint is a very impressive product. The color is bright and vivid, the scent is divine, and the taste is yummy. I very much want to try other colors and flavors. I highly recommend this product. As usual, Fun Factory knows how to please me!

Edible Body Chocolate Review

Babeland’s Edible Body Chocolate is simply heavenly! A dark chocolate cream you can lick off your partner’s (or your own) skin. Yum!

Edible Body Chocolate is thick and creamy with a very slight grainy feel as I rub it on to my man’s skin and my own. That’s right. I’ve slapped it on my own skin…more than once. You think I sat around and waited for my man before trying it? Not a chance. It’s chocolate!

It has a rich, heavy dark chocolate taste. It’s slightly bitter with delicious hints of vanilla and coconut. Edible Body Chocolate tastes very much like what it is…a high end, organic dark chocolate cream. The weather definitely effects the consistency. Of course, I had to touch and taste it right away when it arrived. It had obviously been sitting in the warm UPS truck for a while because it was warm, rich, and creamy on my fingers and tongue. When the temperature dropped, my Edible Body Chocolate firmed up quite a bit and became more of a thick paste. It’s easy to warm up the Chocolate. I simply hold the pot in my hands for a few minutes or let it warm on the skin. Once at body temperature, the grainy feeling goes away. Be sure to mix your Edible Body Chocolate well before using.

Edible Body Chocolate is perfect for writing naughty messages or painting indecent pictures on your partner’s skin. I like to use my finger as a writing utensil, but you can use a spoon, the back end of a knife, or even a small paint brush if you want. Of course, I’d suggest using something you can lick afterward so you get every last bit of the chocolate.

Now, Ladies, for those of you who are susceptible to yeast infections, you’re going to want to keep this Edible Body Chocolate away from your girliest bits. It does contain sugar and sugar is not always your best friend. The introduction of sugar into your most delicate area can change the pH of the environment and encourage the overgrowth of yeast…hence, a yeast infection.

Be careful when you’re rolling around with Edible Body Chocolate smeared all over yourself. Chocolate can stain the sheets, your clothes, the carpet, etc. You’ll probably be able to get it out of the carpet but it could leave spots on everything else. Nope, I can’t speak from experience as I was very careful not to stain anything with my chocolate! Sorry, folks, I just wasn’t willing to go that far!

Very small, thin amounts of Edible Body Chocolate will mostly dry on the skin and be more difficult to smear but thicker, creamier deposits will remain wet and smearable. However, no matter how dry I allowed the Edible Body Chocolate to get, I was able to lick it right off. No stickiness, no need for water, soap, or towels…a tongue is all that’s required. Let me tell you…this Chocolate is sooo tasty, it isn’t easy to just let it sit there and dry!

Edible Body Chocolate comes in a dark colored pot (to protect the chocolate) with a screw on top, and is available in two sizes, 1 and 4 ounces. The label is discreet and classy, though it does say “edible” and “by Babeland” in small letters. It looks more like a bath and body product than a sensual body cream, and most people probably won’t read it closely if they happen to see it laying out. Unless it’s your friend who is obsessed with all body lotions and sticks her fingers in everything. That could be both embarrassing and very amusing… However, you are supposed to store Edible Body Chocolate in a cool, dark place to keep it fresh so that just be sure to put it away. :) Remember to use it up as Edible Body Chocolate has an 18 month shelf life. Quite frankly I’m amazed mine has lasted 18 minutes, so I’m not too concerned about 18 months.

Babeland’s Edible Body Chocolate is made with all organic, vegan, and fair trade ingredients. Yay! Way to make a tasty, high end product in a responsible way. It’s made especially for Babeland by Sweet Beauty, who makes Chocolate Body Cream and Chocolate Massage Oil, both of which are also available at Babeland.

Edible Body Chocolate contains the following ingredients:
Sucrose (Organic Sugar), Thebroma cacao (Organic Cocoa), Cocos nucifera (Organic Coconut ) Oil, Vitis vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Vanilla planifolia (Vanilla) Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

Edible Body Chocolate Pros:
• High quality, natural, organic
• Delicious
• Fun

Edible Body Chocolate Cons:
• None!

I love edible body products when they’re good, and this Edible Body Chocolate is a dream. I want to eat it with a spoon, and don’t think I haven’t been tempted. The only downside to this product is the small size. I want more! Kudos to Babeland and Sweet Beauty for their Edible Body Chocolate.

Run, don’t walk, over to Babeland and order yourself and everyone you know some delectable Edible Body Chocolate right now!

Kama Sutra Intimate Moments Review

You may think MyPleasure is only about sex toys, but they’ve got great sensual products as well, such as the Kama Sutra Intimate Moments kit.

The Kama Sutra Intimate Moments kit came wrapped in cellophane with a big bow. Way to make a girl feel special. Thanks, MyPleasure! The three pieces come in a nice box with a clear cellophane window. They look more like bath products than anything else, but the box does say, “A Romantic Set of Body Treats Designed for Sensual Massage” so your cover is kinda blown there. Each item fits snugly in its own pocket in the plastic sleeve inside the box. You can store the products in this packaging or separately. Both the Sweet Almond Massage Oil and the Honey Dust slip easily into a drawer or on a shelf. I suggest being careful with the feather duster, however. They are real feathers and could easily be broken if you don’t take care of them.

My man is always teasing me about keeping things in their original packaging, but I am just very careful with my beloved sex toys and sensual body products!

Kama Sutra Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust
The Kama Sutra Sweet Honeysuckly Honey Dust is all sweetness and flowers. I do mean that literally. Foolishly perhaps, I didn’t realize that Sweet Honeysuckle would actually smell remarkably like fresh honeysuckle. I was just focusing on the “honey” in honey suckle. I am such a dork! ;) Let me just say that Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust smells just like actual honeysuckle. It’s got a light, yet strong flowery scent. If you like the smell you’ll be in heaven. If you don’t go with a different flavor. I’m not a huge flower person, so I like it but don’t love it. As I said, I was expecting more honey and less flowers. However, the taste is delightful. It’s less powerful than the scent. It’s light and sweet and quite yummy, definitely kissable!

The Honey Dust packaging is classy and discreet. The Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust comes in a cute 2 oz tin with a soft feather applicator. I was surprised to open the tin and find a sweet little black satiny bag. Inside the satiny bag is a plastic bag full of Honey Dust. The downside is the Honey Dust is quite…um…dusty! So, when I opened the black bag I released a slight poof of Honey Dust into the atmosphere. Not a big deal, just be aware it’s a bit messy. Is it just me or does that image make Honey Dust look like an illicit substance? “Honestly, Officer, it’s just Kama Sutra’s Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust! Try it!”

Kama Sutra Sweet Honeysuckle Honey Dust contains the following ingredients:
Corn Starch Modified, Glucose, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Honey, Silica, Honey Extract, Sodium Saccharine, Fragrance, Sodium Benzoate, Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Hydroxy Ctronellol, Benzyl Salicylate, Geraniol, Linalool, Citronellol, Benzyl Benzoate

Sweet Almond Massage Oil
The Sweet Almond Oil comes in a 4 oz plastic bottle with a pop top. The oil flows smoothly from the top and the bottle stays clean. It has the delicate scent of marzipan, which is almond paste. It reminds me of the marzipan I would eat in Germany and Austria, or almond pastries. It’s a lightweight oil that goes on feeling soft and warm. It is very thin and drippy so pour slowly. Sweet Almond Massage Oil flows gently over the skin and spreads very well. I find that a little goes a long way so use sparingly at first. The oil sits on top of the skin until you massage it in. Then it slowly sinks in leaving your skin soft, silky, and slightly fragrant for several hours after the massage is over. It leaves a bit of a healthy glow but no oily residue, so no need to jump in the shower right away. This massage oil is delicate, aromatic, and soothing. I am loving it!

Kama Sutra Sweet Almond Oil contains the following ingredients:
Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Pistacia Vera Seed Oil, C 12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Prunus Amydalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Frangrance, Tocopheryl Acetate, Lecithin, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Benzoate, Citronellol, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool.

Both the Sweet Almond Massage Oil and the Honey Dust are dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic. My skin can be sensitive at times and it has been very happy with both these products. Both products are for external use only. While some oils can be used as a lubricant, the Sweet Almond Massage Oil is strictly a massage oil. Keep it outside the body, please.

I love body and massage products. I’ve always wanted to try Honey Dust and I’ve heard such great things about Kama Sutra products. The Kama Sutra Intimate Moments kit certainly lives up to my expectations. The products really outshine the packaging and with the holidays coming up, this kit would make a lovely gift!

Check out the Kama Sutra Intimate Moments kit at MyPleasure today!
