SPOTLIGHT on Pocket Toyfriends

I have reviewed a few of the Toyfriend Vibrators and have liked almost all of them. They are fun and colorful and decently powerful for battery-operated vibrators. Toyfriend has recently released a new set of four vibrators called Pocket Toyfriends.

Pocket Toyfriends

These Pocket Toyfriends, like their predecessors, are cute and colorful and have funky shapes and names. They are called Zany, Foxy, Nice, and Posh. They remind of the Spice Girls, or at least what I remember of the Spice Girls considering I was never a fan.

Unlike previous Toyfriend lines, the Pocket Toyfriends are only one speed, which basically makes them extra cute pocket rockets. Made of colorful silicone and white ABS, these little vibrators are body-safe and will be compatible with most people. At 3.5″ long and 1″ wide, the Pocket Toyfriends truly are small enough to stick in a pocket, if that’s how you like to transport your vibrators.

The Pocket Toyfriends run on one AAA battery, which should provide good power for something of this size. Most pocket rockets run on watch batteries or other odd, less powerful batteries. The packaging of the Pocket Toyfriends looks simple though different than the packaging of the earlier Toyfriends.

Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator Review

I’ve had my Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator for quite some time now, which is a good comment on its longevity.

Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator

At a compact 2” and smaller than my lipstick, I can carry the Pocket Rocket Jr. around in my cosmetics bag…just in case. The Pocket Rocket Jr. looks more like a pocket flashlight than a pocket vibrator, and the nylon cord makes it even easier to “lug” around.

The small size and quiet motor make the Pocket Rocket Jr. perfect for discrete people on the go. It’s easily hidden during travel…or in your glove compartment.

I like Doc Johnson products even though they may be slightly more expensive than some of their competitors. Like the iVibe Pocket Rocket, the Pocket Rocket Jr. is made of smooth, hard, non-porous plastic that is phthalate-free. It has no odor or taste and with good care, your Pocket Rocket Jr. will last and last.

I’d much rather spend a bit more money on a vibrator that lasts me several years, than less on one I have to replace 6 months down the line. It’s just good economics! Plus, I’m always willing to pay more for products I know are safe for my body. I don’t screw around there.

The Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Jr. Vibrator has 3 slightly raised bumps on its head, which give it a nice texture when I’m rubbing it on my clit. It comes with a removable, rounded cap you can use to keep the head clean. I also use this to vary the sensation. Putting the cap on the Pocket Rocket Jr. dulls the vibration slightly when I want something more gentle.

With just two settings, on and off, the Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Jr. is easy to control. You twist clockwise to turn it on and counter-clockwise to turn it off. To access the battery compartment, you twist a bit more counter-clockwise. Now and then my shaky fingers do open the compartment when I’m just trying to turn the Pocket Rocket Jr. off, but not often enough for me to complain.

I like the speed on the Pocket Rocket Jr. I find it surprisingly strong for such a small vibrator, but not overwhelming. Though it has just the one speed, leaving the cap on or off provides me enough variation with this sex toy.

The Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Jr. is great for solo play as well as play with a partner. Due to its small size, it’s perfect for my man or me to hold against my clit while he’s fucking me, especially from behind or anally. He loves trailing it all over my body and teasing my erogenous zones. Yumm!

Now, the Pocket Rocket Jr. Vibrator is for external stimulation only, it is not an insertable vibrator. That may be obvious based on its size, but it’s important to mention. Also of note, is the fact that the Pocket Rocket Jr. is waterproof! I don’t submerge it, but it often joins me in the shower. I love a waterproof vibrator!

Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator Pros:
• Size
• Waterproof
• Quiet

Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator Cons:
• Availability of batteries

In summary, the Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator is a good choice for beginners and experienced players alike. When you find the batteries, you may want to stock up. However, its size and discreteness are great for playing with yourself or your partner almost anywhere you like. For me, it has always been dependable and it definitely gets the job done!

Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket Review

I’m a big fan of the “pocket rocket” genre of clit stimulators and after my last cheapie one broke, I did a bit of research. I wanted to make sure I invested my money well when I purchased its replacement.

I decided to go with the Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket though it does have a slightly steeper price tag than some of the other products out there. I usually find plastic less than ideal, but the iVibe Pocket Rocket is made of hard, food-grade plastic. This mini vibrator is hypoallergenic, phthalate and latex free. I was sold!

Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket
At 4” long and running on one AA battery, the pocket rocket is compact, easy to travel with, and a breeze to power. It is also discrete. For those in the know, well…they’ll know, but to everyone else? It’s an on-the-go neck and pressure point massager (which it is good for, by the way!).

Remember, the iVibe Pocket Rocket is a clit stimulator only and not insertable. It also is not waterproof so don’t take it into the shower. However, it can certainly handle enough water contact for a thorough cleaning.

The Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket has two options: on and off. No variable speed for this little vibrator. The three massaging nodules on the end feel great whether the unit is on or off. It also comes with a soft but durable cap with small nubs to vary sensation.

There are a few downsides to this vibrator. The iVibe twists one way to turn on and back the other way to turn off. Like the Doc Johnson Pocket Rocket Junior Vibrator, if you twist too far the toy comes apart. While this happens only occasionally with the Pocket Rocket Junior, I find it happens frequently with the iVibe Pocket Rocket.

The other downside is also an upside, the power. It may be small, but the Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket packs a lot of punch. Power queens, rejoice! The amount of power in this small package is astounding. Sometimes it’s exactly what I want. Other times it can be a bit much and leave me feeling numb. Using the rounded cap does diffuse the vibration to a degree, and using lube with the iVibe Pocket Rocket will diffuse it a bit more.

Now I know I’m a big proponent of lubricant, but I don’t always use it with clit stimulators. It often isn’t necessary. However, with lube this vibrator simply skates over my most delicate areas, as well as the rest of my body. So when using the iVibe Pocket Rocket, grab a small amount of your favorite water-based lube and go to town!

Something else to keep in mind, with great power comes great noise. The iVibe Pocket Rocket is not very quiet. You can easily travel with it on a plane, but you wouldn’t want to use it on one unless you want the whole world to know your little secret.

This was my first Doc Johnson vibrator and when I opened the package, I was pleased with the quality. I started playing immediately. First I trailed the iVibe Pocket Rocket lightly around my neck, stomach, and thighs to get used to the vibration. Right off I noticed how great it felt on the sore muscles in my neck so I gave myself a little massage. Then I got impatient and decided to get on with it.

When I used it on my nipples I thought, “wow!” Those nubs on the little cap felt amazing. My body instantly began to hum. Then, when I touched it to my clit I thought, “double wow!” It was electric. My entire body stiffened and I came almost immediately. I have to say, the Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket certainly deserves all that build up!

Another advantage to the iVibe Pocket Rocket is that it’s great for partner play. My man loves the neck massages I give him with it and he loves it on his nipples and inner thighs. We also use it to tease each other during foreplay and fucking. I sometimes catch him sneaking it out of my toy chest!

Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket Pros:
• Size
• Power
• Runs on 1 AA battery

Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket Cons:
• Comes apart easily

If you haven’t tried the Doc Johnson iVibe Pocket Rocket, I suggest giving it a shot.
With the small size, intense power, and the flexibility of this vibrator, it is a staple of any sex toy collection.
