PicoBong Kaya Rabbit Vibrator Review

Almost two years ago, LELO, a manufacturer of luxury sex toys, came out with a new line of toys targeted for a younger audience. This line is called PicoBong, and during the first round of toys they released, I reviewed the PicoBong Kiki. I was so disappointed in the Kiki that I didn’t bother trying any of the other vibrators in the line. Then last year, Picobong released another set of vibrators. I didn’t know whether or not I wanted to review another PicoBong toy due to my experience with the Kiki, which is why I’ve waited until now to review one. Due to my love of rabbit vibrators, I decided to test out the PicoBong Kaya from SexShop365, and I’m glad I did.

PicoBong Kaya

The PicoBong Kaya is not a typical rabbit vibrator in that the shaft does not rotate and the clit stimulator is not in the shape of an animal. It has a sleek silhouette that I find attractive. At 7.75″ in length, with 5″ being insertable, and a diameter of 1″, the Kaya is suitable for many people. It is neither terribly long nor girthy, so it would be a good choice as a first rabbit for someone less experienced with sex toys.

Made of a soft and smooth silicone, the PicoBong Kaya is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe. As it is waterproof, cleaning the Kaya is very easy. I just wash it in the sink with warm water and antibacterial soap. You can also use a sex toy cleaner or a 10% bleach solution to disinfect the silicone. Disinfecting the silicone will allow you to use this vibrator with non-fluid bonded partners.

As the PicoBong Kaya is made of silicone, it is important to use a water-based lubricant with it. Silicone-based lubes can react negatively with the silicone of the vibrator and damage the surface. The silicone of the Kaya is a thin layer over a hard internal shaft. There is absolutely no give. The clit stimulator itself also has a hard interior but is flexible at the base. This allows you to press it against or pull it slightly away from your body if you need to do so. You will need to hold it in the position you want it as it is not actually adjustable and won’t remain at a different angle. I would still be gentle with it as you don’t want to damage the internal wiring. One of the great things about the Kaya is the dual motors. Both the shaft and the clit arm vibrate, together, as well as independently of each other.

PicoBong Kaya Rabbit Vibrator, Charm

The PicoBong Kaya requires the use of two AAA batteries, that are not included with the vibrator. You can get up to two hours of playtime with one set of batteries, depending upon how you use the vibrator. The batteries are easy enough to insert. You just twist the textured, ABS base of the vibrator very slightly and it pops off. There is no unscrewing. Now I may be blind, but I cannot find any indication of which way the batteries need to be inserted. This causes a fair amount of irritation every time I put them in the Kaya because I don’t remember from use to use. However, I do remember to remove the batteries after each use, as you also want to do. For my sanity and yours, this is the correct way to insert the batteries- the battery closest to the clit stimulator is positive side up and the battery furthest away is negative side up. Storing the batteries inside the vibrator can shorten their life and that of the Kaya. While I like that the battery compartment opens easily, I think it’s a bit too easy. I have opened it accidentally more than once while playing with the vibrator, not a great feature.

The control panel of the PicoBong Kaya is a vast improvement over the Kiki’s. Rather than inserting the buttons in the letters imprinted on the side of the vibrator, they are all by themselves on the opposite side. There are also three buttons rather than just two. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, LELO is very good at responding to feedback and adjusting their products as needed. There is a +, -, and M button. These buttons provide good feedback and must be pressed very firmly, so it is unlikely you will change the intensity or pattern by mistake during play. To turn the Kaya on, you press and hold the + button. You can increase the intensity of the vibrations by continuing to press this button. As you may have guessed, you decrease the intensity and turn off the vibrations with the – button. The M cycles through the patterns. I’m guessing “M” is for modes…

PicoBong Kaya Vibration Modes

The image above provides a great visual of the PicoBong Kaya’s seven levels of intensity of steady vibration and 12 different modes. Below is is my description of how they feel to me.

1. Steady vibration in shaft and clit attachment (seven levels of intensity)
2. Steady vibration in shaft only
3. Steady vibration in clit attachment only
4. Slow pulse between shaft and clit attachment
5. Faster pulse between shaft and clit attachment
6. Fastest pulse between shaft and clit attachment
7. Ramp up between shaft and clit attachment
8. Ramp up in shaft and clit attachment
9. Faster version of mode 7
10. Ramp up in shaft with steady vibration in clit attachment
11. Roller coaster between shaft and clit attachment
12. Pattern of pulses between shaft and clit

I really like modes five, six and seven. I think 12 modes is a bit overkill but I’d rather have more than not have any that I like. The downside of having so many patterns is that if you pass the one you want or want to switch to another pattern, you have to scroll through all of them to get back to it. The PicoBong Kaya does not have a memory chip, so it always starts on the lowest level of steady vibration when you turn it on. The vibrations themselves are on the deeper side of the spectrum. They are not the deepest vibrations ever, but they are not at all buzzy. They are also fairly quiet when the Kaya is inside me. You really cannot hear it through heavy covers, so you may be able to use it with your partner sleeping next to you. The vibrations of the PicoBong Kaya are definitely much stronger than those of the Kiki, but they are not as strong as I was expecting. I do generally need to use the vibrator on its highest level of intensity, so it may not be strong enough for everyone. It is not a powerhouse.

Obviously, I was hoping I would like the PicoBong Kaya, but I was surprised by how much I actually ended up liking it. It happens to fit my body very well, which is always the tricky part of a rabbit vibrator. I like the smoothness of the silicone as it slides inside of me. There is very little drag, so it requires much less lubricant than some of my other silicone toys. The hardness of the shaft feels good as I clench down on it, and though I like girthy toys, the lack of thickness does not trouble me with the Kaya for some reason. If I thrust it in a certain way, the curved tip will hit my g-spot. However, it really does not hit my g-spot if I am holding the vibrator inside of me so that the clit attachment lines up with my clit. This is not an issue for me, but it might be for some people. I find it easy to press the buttons to change modes during play, and I am quite fond of some of the patterns. I really do like this vibrator.

The packaging of the PicoBong Kaya is basically the same as the Kiki. It comes in a colored box with a front and side window that matches the color of the vibrator. It is not discreet nor sturdy. The Kaya sits inside a little cardboard indentation that does an ok job of keeping it upright. I do not recommend the box for storage. You’re better off using a ziploc or other sex toy storage bag. Included in the box is the barely there user manual with the most basic of information and the warranty information. The Kaya has a standard one year warranty. Also included in the box is a rubbery charm with the word PicoBong. It looks to me like a zipper pull, but there is actually a notch on the base of the vibrator so you can attach it. I. Don’t. Get. It. Why, PicoBong, why?

PicoBong Kaya Rabbit Vibrator Pros:
• Good shape
• Enjoyable patterns
• Fits my body well
• Easy to reach controls
• Sleek silicone
• Not a lint magnet
• Waterproof

PicoBong Kaya Rabbit Vibrator Cons:
• May not be powerful enough for some
• Many patterns to cycle through
• Battery compartment pops open too easily
• Battery insertion is trial and error

All in all, I am very pleased with my PicoBong Kaya. The vibrations are strong and deep enough to get me off very quickly, and it has some great patterns. I love the smooth silicone and am thrilled that it does not attract lint and dust like many silicone toys. The size, shape, and form suit my body quite well and I find the vibrator easy to use. My only real complaints are the fact that I don’t know how the batteries are meant to go in and how the base of the vibrator pops off a bit too easily. I feel like they could easily fix this problem by adding an extra twist to the base. Still, neither of these are big issues for me. I do acknowledge that the vibrations may not be strong enough for some people but they work for me.

Umm, what is up with the PicoBong charm? It reminds me of the die I received with the PicoBong Kiki. Pointless. I did loop it on the end of the vibrator for kicks but I’m certainly not putting on a zipper or anything like that. I just wish PicoBong would not waste money and resources on these little trifles that do not add anything to the design or function of the toy.

Regardless, this is a solid and simple rabbit vibrator with several good qualities and I think many people will like it. Head over to SexShop365 where you can check out the PicoBong Kaya for yourself.

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator Review

If you follow Bean Fiddler, you know I get excited by new products, and do my best to make you aware of them through Spotlights and Reviews. At the end of last year I discovered a totally new toy, something I hadn’t tried before, and so I wrote a Spotlight on the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator. It has taken me some time to get my hands on one, but thanks to EdenFantasys, I finally have the chance to review a Fun Factory Stronic Ein Pulsator.

Fun Factory Pulsator Stronic Eins Powerful Thrusting Vibrator

The Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator is made with completely new technology and is unlike any other sex toy I have experienced. Rather than vibrating like the vibrators I am accustomed to, it pulsates to provide the user with the sensation of thrusting. I have had some rabbit vibrators with rotating shafts that create a sensation similar to that of thrusting, but none of them actually thrusted, which is what the Stronic Eins does very effectively. The technology is really quite astonishing and impressive.

If you’re having trouble picturing how the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator works, this video gives a great visual, along with some additional information. It is actually the “instruction manual” as the Stronic Eins does not come with one, which is odd as Fun Factory products usually do.

As with all the Fun Factory sex toys I own, The Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator is made of 100% medical grade silicone that is particularly plush. Unfortunately, as it is made with the typical Fun Factory silicone, it is also an insane lint magnet. No matter what I do, I cannot seem to keep this thing clean. I literally washed it right before taking the pictures, then stopped and washed it again during because it was still so linty. You can see in the images it’s still not super lint-free, and that was as clean I could get the damn thing. Nevertheless, this silicone is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body-safe.

The fact that the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator is made of silicone means you’re better off using a water-based lubricant with it, rather than a silicone-based lube. A silicone-based can cause a chemical reaction in the silicone of the Pulsator, causing it to become tacky. The lush Fun Factory silicone has quite a lot of drag to it so you’ll want to use a fair amount of water-based lube for best comfort during insertion and pulsation. Unlike my other Fun Factory sex toys, the Stronic Eins did not come with a sample of Toy Fluid, Fun Factory’s water-based lubricant.

As the Stronic Eins is waterproof, with no open ports, caring for and cleaning it is a snap. You can wash it with antibacterial soap and water or your favorite sex toy cleaner. You can even wipe the silicone shaft down with a 10% bleach solution to sterilize it so you can share it between non-fluid bonded partners. Do not use the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator for anal penetration as it does not have a flared base.

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator, Rear Ridge

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator, Plug

The solid silicone tip of the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator is soft and flexible, while the shaft is a thin layer of silicone over the motor, making it very hard and inflexible. I definitely feel all 1.75″ of girth when the Stronic Eins is inside me. It is 9.25″ long, with 5.5″ being insertable. It has a small bump at the base of the shaft, also made of solid silicone, that is meant to provide stimulation to the clit. This happens more easily for me when I use the Stronic Eins externally. When it’s inside of me, the bump really does not hit my clit.

The Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator belongs to the Click N Charge family of Fun Factory toys, which means it is rechargeable and uses the same magnetic charger as the vibrators in this line of toys. The charger is included in the box but if you do misplace it, you can use another Fun Factory magnetic charger with it. I’m not sure exactly how long it takes to charge the Stronic Eins because I charged mine overnight and I haven’t been able to run it down yet. A single charge should provide up to three hours of play time, depending upon how frequently you use the higher levels of intensity. During charging all three buttons light up in succession and they turn off when charging is complete. The plug has a red LED that lights when it is plugged into the socket to let you know it is working.

Like most of my Fun Factory vibrators, the Stronic Eins Pulsator has a simple control panel consisting of three buttons, the red FUN button, and the clear + and – buttons. The FUN button turns the Pulsator on and off, while the + and – buttons cycle through the different modes of stimulation. To turn the Stronic Eins on, push and hold FUN for .5 seconds. Push the FUN button once briefly to turn the Pulsator off. The Stronic Eins Pulsator has an easy to use travel lock. To turn the travel lock on, press and hold the FUN and – buttons at the same time for .5 seconds. To unlock, press the FUN and + buttons at the same time for .5 seconds. In general, I find the control panel straightforward to use, except for one thing. Due to the coloring and glare of the shiny plastic, the + and – minus buttons are somewhat difficult to differentiate in daylight. It’s not a major issue considering I’m not actually looking at them during play. Besides, they show up just fine in a darkened room.

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator, Charger

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator, Magnetic Charger

The Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator has 10 modes of pulsation. To be honest, I’m not really sure how to describe them other than to say the Constant and Dynamic Modes feel the same to me. They definitely increase in intensity as you cycle up through mode seven, but it’s not until I hit the Algorithmic Modes that I feel actual patterns. Gallop is definitely well-named as it feels just like a horse’s gallop. Other than that, I think the mode names are random. The modes, as named by Fun Factory, are as follows:
1. (Constant Mode) Quirky
2. (Constant Mode) Samba
3. (Constant Mode) Rumble
4. (Constant Mode) Samba
5. (Dynamic Mode) Rollerball
6. (Dynamic Mode) Rumba
7. (Dynamic Mode) Vienna Waltz
8. (Algorithmic Mode) Rattle
9. (Algorithmic Mode) Gallop
10. (Algorithmic Mode) Dirty Dancing

I was so excited to get my Fun Factory Stronic Eins that I wanted to try it out right away, and when I realized it had some charge, I did. I was surprised by the level of power. It seemed somewhat weak to me. I figured it must be because the charge was very low, so I charged it overnight and gave it another try. I discovered my previous experience was not due to a lack of charge. I’m not sure I want to say the Stronic Eins lacks power. To be realistic, this is the first toy of its kind that I have tried, so my expectations may have been overly high and unreachable. After all, the Stronic Eins is not a vibrator. It is a pulsator, and to that end, really doesn’t require the same kind of power. The pulsations are very deep and low in frequency, and the different levels of intensity allows you to control the speed of the thrusting sensation. You can use it externally to stimulate the clit and perineum or internally to stimulate the g-spot and rest of the vagina. It is really quite novel and cool. That is the upside. The downside is that I don’t get off with the Stronic Eins without using a vibrator on my clit. However, this is more about my body than a failing on the part of the Pulsator.

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator Packaging, Internal Box

The Stronic Eins Pulsator packaging makes a slight departure from the typical Fun Factory packaging. There is an external sleeve with images of the Stronic Eins and little icons describing some of the features. Inside the sleeve is a box with a lift-up lid. When you open the lid you find a large card with a little pamphlet that is a sort of user manual. It has images telling you about the toy, but not details. It’s better than nothing, but it isn’t much of an explanation. It was unexpected as my other Fun Factory toys came with detailed instructions and information. Underneath this card is the Stronic Eins Pulsator in a partial stretchy plastic sleeve, its charger, and a warning pamphlet which tells you all sorts of things you shouldn’t do with the Pulsator and charger, most of which is common sense, but there are a few good tidbits in there. It seems odd that the Stronic Eins and charger are just sort of tossed in the box and left to flop around, but the box is sturdy enough to use as storage for a while. It won’t last forever and it takes up a lot of room which is why, as usual, I wish Fun Factory would include a storage bag.

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator Pros:
• Unique sensation
• Very quiet
• Silicone
• Waterproof
• Rechargeable
• Travel lock
• Quick turn off button
• Easy to use control panel

Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator Cons:
• Lack of clit stimulation (for me)
• Slightly difficult to tell + and – buttons apart in daylight
• Major lint magnet
• No user manual

After being so excited about trying the Fun Factory Stronic Eins for a while, I was slightly let down that it didn’t get me off on its own. To be realistic though, it does a fantastic job at what it is meant to do, pulsate. It is not a rabbit vibrator, and while it does offer a hint of clit stimulation, that is not its primary function. I test a lot of sex toys that claim to be whisper quiet and only rarely do I run across one that can come close to its claims. The Stronic Eins Pulsator doesn’t actually make any such claims and yet it is shockingly quiet. I suppose that makes sense considering it doesn’t vibrate.

Of course, I love that it is waterproof and rechargeable, and I like the travel lock. I like to use travel locks while storing my toys so they don’t turn on accidentally, which happens with my rechargeable toys with surprising frequency. Even though the + and – buttons are not clearly defined in daylight, they’re totally discernible in the dark. I really like the quick off button rather than the typical hold it for a few seconds off button that is more common. I find it much easier to use and imagine it would be great if you need to turn the Pulsator off quickly for a variety of reasons.

Though there is no strong reason a beginner would not enjoy this toy, I think it better for those more experienced with sex toys. The Stronic Eins provides a very specific sensation not common to other sex toys and I wouldn’t recommend it as a first or only toy, unless you are all about thrusting. Then it night be the one for you. It is also slightly girthy at 1.75″, which may not be ideal for beginners and those who dislike girthy toys.

While the Stronic Eins Pulsator is not the end all be all of sex toys I was hoping it would be, it does what it is meant to very well. For that reason, along with the other positives of this toy, I am giving it high marks. Right now, EdenFantasys is offering a Free Gift with the purchase of the Fun Factory Stronic Eins Pulsator, so head on over and check it out for yourself, in either violet or pink.

PAPAYA Tattoo Vibrator Review

Happy Day After Christmas, Dear Readers!

In June 2011, I reviewed the new PAPAYA Toys Candy Stick Vibrator. You can see I found very few flaws in this vibrator and considering I liked it quite a lot, I figured it might be fun to review another of PAPAYA Toys’ vibrators. This time it’s the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator from FunWares.

PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator in Apple

Just like the Candy Stick, the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator was a bit of a surprise when I opened the box. Having had the same experience with the Candy Stick, I was somewhat prepared. Even so, I was still struck with how big the Tattoo appears. Holding it in my hand certainly does not diminish the size of this bright green vibrator. At 9″ long, with 5.5″ being insertable, the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator is quite a handful. It’s not that 5.5″ of insertable length is so unusual, it’s more the 9″ in length and the 1.75″ in girth (at its widest point) that makes the Tattoo feel so large in my hand. It may also be the color that makes it stand out. However, just because this vibrator seems huge in the hand does mean it is anything of which to be frightened.

Like their other sex toys, the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator is made of 100% medical grade silicone. Although the Tattoo is manufactured in Asia, the silicone comes from U.S. suppliers so you can be sure it is of the highest quality. This silicone has a very slight scent but I have to practically stick the vibrator up my nose to smell it. It has no discernible taste, not that your mouth is the preferred place you want to stick this toy. Of course, the reason for the name “Tattoo” is the tattoo designs on both sides of the shaft, which add a nice detail.

This particular silicone has a lovely soft feel to it. However, it does have quite a bit of drag so I recommend using a water-based lubricant with it. You want to avoid silicone-based lubes as they can have a negative chemical reaction with the silicone of the vibrator, damaging it and causing it to become tacky. Aside from the softness of this silicone, it does not pick up much lint or dust. Of course, you still want to wash the Tattoo before and after use. I’m just pointing out that it isn’t a lint magnet like many silicone toys.

As the Tattoo Vibrator is waterproof, cleaning is easy. PAPAYA Toys recommends washing it with warm water and soap, though you can also use a sex toy cleaner or a 10% bleach solution. As an aside, the Tattoo does not have any sort of flared base so it isn’t appropriate for anal use.

I know I’m always going on and on about how I prefer rechargeable vibrators, and I do. However, it is nice to have a few vibrators around that take batteries because they are ready to go in a jiff while you’re waiting for your rechargeables to charge up. The PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator requires two AA batteries, which are not included, so you’d best have some on hand. The bottom third of the shaft, right below the purple plastic band, unscrews to allow access to the battery compartment. When you unscrew it you can feel how solidly the vibrator is put together, and the large o-ring gives me confidence that the Tattoo is truly waterproof.

Inside the battery compartment is a rather unique battery cartridge. It is great for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, you never want to store your vibrators with batteries inside of them. When you are done using the Tattoo, remove the batteries, after washing it and before putting it away. This will lengthen the life of your batteries and vibrator. It is quick and easy to remove the battery pack with the batteries in it and store them like that. This allows you to simply pop the cartridge in when you are ready to use the Tattoo, no fumbling around trying to get the batteries into the vibrator.

The other very cool thing about this battery cartridge is that it is reversible. It doesn’t matter which way you put it in, it will work. This may sound like no big deal but if you’ve ever spent an annoying amount of time trying to get a battery pack into a vibrator the proper way, you know this is super cool. It is so cool, in fact, that PAPAYA Toys won the Outstanding Innovation Award for its Reversible Battery Pack at the 2011 O Awards at the AVN Adult Novelty Expo.

Enough about battery packs, let’s get to the vibrations. In short, I like them. They are deep and rumbly and strong. They get me off quickly and will be satisfying for many women. The vibrations are concentrated in the head of the vibrator so I really feel them on my clit when I am using the Tattoo externally. Like the Candy Stick, I find the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator to be on the noisy side. I can hear it through the door of my bedroom if everything is quiet. Music or TV will easily mask the sound but if you need a silent toy, this is not the vibrator for you.

Once you get the hang of it, the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator is easy to use. It works a little differently than most of my vibrators so it takes some getting used to. The Tattoo has a large button on its base that acts as the control panel. In use, the right side of the button turns the vibrator on, increases the intensity of the vibrations, and switches between modes. The left side of the button decreases the intensity and turns the vibrator off. What’s different about this system is that rather than clicking the right side of the button briefly to increase the intensity, you press and hold until you reach the desired level. A brief push of the button cycles you to the next mode. It is the same with the left side of the button. Press and hold to decrease the intensity level and give a brief click to turn the Tattoo off. There is nothing wrong with this design, I am just accustomed to pressing and holding to turn the vibrator off and giving a brief push to change the intensity. In addition, the PAPAYA Tattoo Vibrator has a memory chip so it remembers where it was when you turned it off and starts up on the same mode and intensity level.

The PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator has three vibration modes. They are as follows:
1. Steady vibration
2. Medium pulse
3. 1 medium pulse and 4 fast pulses

I really enjoy using the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator. I like the vibrations, and while I prefer a quiet toy, it isn’t an absolute necessity for me. The shape works well, and though I do not feel the lovely tattoo design on the sides of the shaft when it is inside me, I do feel the pop of the head as I thrust in and out. I normally like patterns but these patterns don’t do much for me so I tend to prefer the steady vibration mode of the Tattoo. As the silicone is layered over a hard inner core that contains the motor, clenching down on the shaft feels pretty great.

PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator Packaging

The packaging of the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator is simple yet pretty and useful. There is an outer sleeve around the box with an image of the Tattoo. I would like them to do away with this to save on paper but I understand they use it to identify the specific vibrator as the box underneath is generic. The box itself is large compared to the size of the Tattoo but it is very strong and sturdy. It closes via a magnetic flap on the side. Inside the box, the Tattoo sits in a molded plastic tray with its black satin storage bag. As you all know, I love a good storage bag. Hell, I’ll even take a not so great storage bag over none at all.

Also included in the box is a pamphlet in English, German, French, and Spanish. This pamphlet provides basic information about the vibrator and the company. Normally I would complain about such a large box but I love that it is discreet, without any images of the Tattoo on it (unlike the outer sleeve) or the word vibrator plastered all over the place. The text on the back of the box is in German, so unless you’ve got a best friend who happens to be from Germany like I do, you should be pretty safe. I also think that once you remove the plastic tray the box is great for storage. You can fit a couple of vibrators (tucked into individual storage bags so they don’t touch) in the box, a bunch of condoms and little bottles of lube, or multiple toy chargers. It has tons of uses.

PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator Pros:
• Rumbly vibrations
• Strong vibrations
• Good shape
• Nice size
• Memory chip
• Waterproof
• Not a lint magnet

PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator Cons:
• Noisy

Like its cousin the Candy Stick, the PAPAYA Toys Tattoo Vibrator is pretty nice. The size and shape suit me very well, as do the vibrations. I really like the softness of the silicone and the fact that it is easy to keep clean. I think all sex toys should be waterproof, just for ease of cleaning if nothing else, so I very much appreciate this about the Tattoo. A memory chip is by no means a necessity but it can be nice when you have to turn off the vibrator in a hurry because someone is knocking on your door or you get a phone call you must answer. It’s convenient to be able to turn the Tattoo back on and start up right where you left off. The design is attractive and I love the fun color. The fact that it comes with a storage bag and a discreet box is a bonus. For a non-rechargeable vibrator, the Tattoo does a good job.

Jimmyjane Form 2 Review

Before I start this review, I just want to wish Everyone a Happy 12/12/12!

Ever since I found myself in the midst of the sex toy world, I have been hearing about Jimmyjane products. They have a very strong reputation for making high quality sex toys and sensual items. Over the past two years I’ve kept my eyes open for an opportunity to review something Jimmyjane but it never seemed to come together. Of all the Jimmyjane products, the Form 2 interested me the most. I even posted a Spotlight on it way back. The shape just tickled my fancy and it seemed to have a lot of positive things going for it. As it did not appear anyone would ask me to review it for them, I finally just went for it and picked one up.

Jimmyjane Form 2

I did a lot of research on the Jimmyjane Form 2 before purchasing one. If I’m going to be spending over $100, I want to be reasonably convinced I’m going to like the sex toy I’m investing in. I had read numerous reviews that the Form 2 has a glitch in its motors causing it to make a loud, high-pitched whine when pressure is put on them. Apparently, this is an issue with most Form 2 vibrators and is not something that is fixed by replacing the unit. Nonetheless, I really wanted it so I took the risk. Turns out everything I read was true of my Form 2, but more on that annoying whine later.

The Form 2 is a cute little vibrator that reminds me of a tooth. It is a mere 3″ long and approximately 1.75″ in diameter, not that the diameter matters much as it is not an insertable. There is a motor in each of the little legs giving the Form 2 an extra boost of power. This vibrator is covered in silky smooth silicone that has a minimal amount of drag to it so it doesn’t require a ton of lube. As the Form 2 is silicone, you want to use water-based lubricant with it as silicone-based lubes can create a negative chemical reaction.

One great thing about the Jimmyjane Form 2 is that it’s waterproof with no open ports so it is super easy to clean. You can use warm water and antibacterial soap, a sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Something else I like about this particular silicone is that it is not a lint magnet, which is excellent, as most silicone tends to be. There is a very small seam in the silicone running around the outside of the vibrator but I do not feel it in use at all.

The Jimmyjane Form 2 is rechargeable and the way it charges is super cool. It has a metal circle on it’s base so you it charges when you sit in the charging cradle, like a cordless phone. As I mentioned before there are no open ports, nothing for water to penetrate, which makes me totally comfortable using the Form 2 in the shower and submerging it in the bath, though I do not actually spend much time masturbating in my bathroom.

The control panel of the Jimmyjane Form 2 consists of three teeny buttons on the face of the vibrator, +, -, and ~. These buttons are very straightforward and simple to use. The + button turns the Form 2 on and increases the intensity of the vibration. The – button decreases the intensity of the vibration and turns the vibrator off. The ~ button switches modes and cycles through them. You can increase and decrease the intensity of the vibrations in each mode, which is great. The Form 2 also has a memory chip so it remembers what mode and intensity you were on when you turned it off and starts back in the same place when you turn it back on.

The Jimmyjane Form 2 has five levels of intensity and four vibration modes. They are as follows:
1. Steady vibration
2. Ramp up from motor to motor*
3. Ramp up
4. Fast pulse
*I’m not sure exactly what is going on with the second pattern, but I like it a lot.

I already told you about the mysterious and annoying high-pitched whine and mentioned that my Form 2 does have this glitch. However, it doesn’t happen consistently. I can see no rhyme nor reason as to why sometimes I can put more pressure on the legs without an issue and other times less pressure sets it off. When it does happen it’s annoying, but it doesn’t happen all the time so I can live with it. One thing I find surprising about the Form 2 is that it is louder than I expected. I figured it would be whisper quiet as it’s so small, but it really isn’t. It’s not insanely loud. You can’t hear it through a closed door, but you can hear when it’s under the covers.

Aside from all the hullabaloo about noise, the Form 2 is a joy to use. I love how the little legs surround my clit with their dual motors. I don’t know how other women use their Jimmyjane Form 2 but I like to hold mine sideways so that one leg is on top of my clit and the other is underneath it. It fits my body perfectly this way and provides more than adequate power to get me off quickly and easily. As long as you remember where the buttons are, which comes with practice, it’s a snap to use. Just as I was hoping when I went out on a limb with the Jimmyjane Form 2, I really like it. In fact, it’s pretty great. The power is awesome, especially for a vibrator of this size. It even rivals my most favorite We-Vibe Touch and that, my friends, is not easy to do.

The packaging of the Jimmyjane Form 2 is a bit of a disappointment. It comes in a very large box with images of the vibrator on all sides. It also says “vibrator” right on the front, totally indiscreet. Inside the box the Form 2 sits within a flexible plastic container that also holds the charging cradle. Underneath this container is another smaller one that holds the charging cord. Also included is a pamphlet on the Jimmyjane family and a little instruction booklet. I dislike that this packaging is huge which means it cannot be used for storage, not to mention that once I removed the components from the box I was never able to get them back in and close it again. I really believe when you spend over $100 on a toy a storage bag should be included. Nothing fancy, just a simple satin bag will do. All of my other high end vibrators come with storage bags. Some even come with boxes too pretty to throw away. I know it’s nitpicky but it just annoys me that I have nowhere to store my Form 2.

Jimmyjane Form 2 Pros:
• Dual motors
• Powerful
• Good shape
• Rechargeable
• Waterproof
• Easy to use
• Not a lint magnet
• Silky silicone

Jimmyjane Form 2 Cons:
• Intermittent high-pitched whining noise with applied pressure
• Louder than expected

When it comes to ratings and recommendations, the Jimmyjane Form 2 puts me in a tricky spot. This vibrator could easily be a top contender for my favorite sex toy of 2012 if it weren’t for the irritating glitchy noise issue. Granted, it doesn’t happen every time I use the vibrator but because it does happen at times, when it does it’s annoying. As much as I love the power of the Form 2 and most everything about using it, it is difficult to decide how to rate it. Of course I would prefer my Form 2 was not at all glitchy, but I can live with it. It really is an awesome vibrator but it’s not my only one, so if I don’t feel like dealing with it I don’t have to.

For shape, size, waterproofness, and power, I highly recommend the Form 2. If you are ok with the likelihood that your Form 2 will make this annoying noise, at least from time to time, and it isn’t your only vibrator, then by all means go for it. However, if you need a toy that will always be super quiet, if you find noise horribly distracting, if you’re counting your pennies (and who isn’t nowadays?), I just cannot in good conscience give this vibrator my full backing. Without the noise glitch I would give the Jimmyjane Form 2 a resounding five beans, but that stupid whine won’t allow me to do that. I’m deducting one full bean for it and it would be more if I didn’t like the damn vibrator so much.

Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo Review

I’ve had my eye on the Goliath for quite some time. It’s large, it looks cool in purple, it comes in different colors, and it’s made by Tantus. I am a big fan of Tantus as you can see from my multiple Tantus reviews and Spotlights. When FunWares started carrying the Goliath, I figured it was my chance to nab one. After all, what girl doesn’t want a Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo for her very own? Ok, some people may not want one but I sure did.

Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo

One thing I love about Tantus is that they are a U.S. based company and their products are made in the United States, which is uncommon in the sex toy industry. More jobs for American citizens! While it is often my preference to use locally made products, I don’t always have that luxury for a variety of reasons. However, when I do, I jump at the opportunity. Another benefit to Tantus products is that their toys are very high quality and the Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo is no exception to this rule.

When it comes to silicone sex toys, Tantus makes some of the best around. Their silicone is luxuriously smooth, rich feeling, and nicely squashy. Made from medical grade 100% Ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone, the Tantus Goliath is made of good stuff. Like other sex toys made from pure silicone, the Goliath is latex and phthalate-free, hypoallergenic, and body safe. Unlike some other toys, however, you can be sure the Goliath is 100% silicone and not some mixture of silicone and TPR or some other material. As sex toy manufacturers are not regulated by the U.S. Government, they are not required to disclose all the materials in their toys. In fact, they can classify a sex toy as a “silicone toy” even if it is not 100% silicone. Tantus does not do this.

In general, you want to use a water-based lubricant with silicone sex toys. Often a silicone-based lube will cause the silicone of the sex toy to become tacky due to a chemical reaction between the silicone in the lube and the silicone of the toy. As the Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo is made from high quality 100% silicone, you may be able to use it with high quality silicone-based lubricants, such as Pjur Original Bodyglide. If you are planning on doing this be sure to do a patch test beforehand and keep in mind I am referring to high quality, pure silicone-based lubes, not the cheapy stuff. I definitely recommend using a good amount of lubricant during play as there is significant drag to the silicone of the Tantus Goliath.

Cleaning the Tantus Goliath is easy peasy. You can wash it with warm water and antibacterial soap, a sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. After removing the waterproof silver bullet, you can also boil your Goliath for 3-5 minutes or wash it in the the top drawer of your dishwasher, without detergent. This, as well as the bleach solution, will sterilize your Goliath so it can be used between non-fluid bonded partners or go from anal to vaginal use.

On the wider end of dildos, the Tantus Goliath is 7″ long, with 6.5″ being insertable, and 1.75″ in diameter. While not the girthiest dildo I have, the Goliath is certainly moving in that direction. It is a far cry from a slender 1″ diameter insertable that is very common in the world of sex toys. The Goliath has a flared base, so it can be used in a harness o-ring and is safe for anal use.

One of the features of the Tantus Goliath that is not common for me in the dildos I normally choose is the life-like shape and appearance. The Goliath has raised veins that run along the length of the shaft. It also has an enlarged head to give the sensation of an actual penis. Normally, I am not a huge fan of life-like sex toys. They just creep me out. Thankfully, the vibrant Midnight Purple of my Tantus Goliath goes a long way in alleviating that problem.

You may have noticed, I keep referring to the Goliath as a vibrating dildo rather than a vibrator. This is because it is basically a dildo with a receptacle for the included silver bullet. You can use it simply as a dildo without the bullet or add some vibration by inserting it. The included bullet requires one N 1.5v battery (included) and can be used with other Tantus products, such as the Tantus Delta. The silver bullets that come with Tantus vibrating dildos are interchangeable and have just one speed. Just as I have found in the past with other Tantus toys, the vibrations of this bullet are on the buzzy side and not as powerful as I would like. I really wish Tantus would include a better bullet with their products. If it’s going to vibrate, I want to feel and enjoy it. On the other hand, the bullet is waterproof, which is always a good thing. When using the bullet, it is a good idea to add a few drops of lube before inserting it into the base of the Goliath. This makes it easier to remove come cleaning time. If you forget to do this, you may end up throwing the dildo across the room in frustration.

So how do I like the Tantus Goliath in use? I like it. I really enjoy a girthier toy, be it a vibrator or a dildo, so the diameter of the Goliath works well for me. I enjoy the feeling of being filled by it. I also fancy texture, so the veins on the shaft are lovely as well. The flared base makes thrusting easy and comfortable. All in all, the Tantus Goliath is a great dildo. However, when it comes to vibrations the Goliath falls on its face. Though the vibrations of the bullet are somewhat strong (for a bullet) when it’s in my hand, they really do not transmit to the tip of the Goliath well. I feel the vibrations mostly in the base and the thickness of the silicone dulls them quite a bit. The bullet does add some additional stimulation but I need another vibrator on my clit to get off. To be fair, I really require clitoral stimulation to orgasm. That being said, while I can get off using the silver bullet on its own, I have not been able to using it inside the Goliath. I just think it is better as a dildo.

The packaging of the Goliath Vibrating Dildo is typical Tantus fare. It comes in a clear plastic box that is tightly fastened. Inside this box, the Goliath and the silver bullet sit in a clear plastic clamshell. The box is good enough for shipping and such but not the best for storage as it takes up a fair amount of room. It also isn’t the sturdiest thing in the world. However, it does protect the Goliath from smushing up against other silicone sex toys and causing it to get tacky. It also protects it from dust and lint, which is very important because Tantus silicone loves to attract anything floating around in the air. As the box is clear, it is definitely not discreet, so you probably don’t want to leave it laying about the house for everyone to see.

Tantus Goliath Vibrating Pros:
• High quality silicone
• Girthy
• Good Texture
• Pronounced head
• Waterproof
• Can be sterilized

Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo Cons:
• Weak vibrations through the silicone
• Buzzy vibrations
• Lint Magnet

Overall, the Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo has a lot going for it. It’s made by Tantus and manufactured in the United States. It is nice and thick, with the girthiness feeling pleasantly filling. I love the texture of the veins and the pronounced head popping in out and out of me as I thrust. I appreciate that it is life-like but not life-like at the same time. As a dildo, it’s pretty great. As a vibrator, however, not so much. The vibrations are not strong enough nor deep enough to get me off. I really need an actual vibrator on my clit at the same time to orgasm. That being said, thrusting with the Goliath while using a vibe on my clit is very effective. If it were just a dildo, I’d give the Goliath 4.5 beans but considering it’s supposed to be a vibrating dildo, I have to knock off half a bean as it just isn’t quite up to the task. Nevertheless, I like it enough to strongly recommend it if you’re in the market for a girthy, textured, high-quality dildo. So, head over to FunWares and check out the Tantus Goliath Vibrating Dildo. Remember, you get 10% off FunWares’ already low prices with code: FIDDLER at checkout.
