SPOTLIGHT on Wonderland Collection Vibrators

I happen to really enjoy cute and funky sex toys. I like them so much better than realistic looking vibrators and dildos. Recently, a set of new vibrators came out that are based on Alice in Wonderland, which I think is a great inspiration for sex toys. The are five Wonderland Collection vibrators and while some are cuter than others, they all have their own unique charm.

The Wonderland Collection vibrators are made in the U.S. by Doc Johnson, which I think is a bonus because I prefer to buy local products in general. As I mentioned, there are five vibrators is the Wonderland collection, Pleasurepillar, Mystical Mushroom, Heavenly Heart, White Wabbit, and my favorite, Kinky Kat. All five vibrators are made of silicone with plastic handles. They are waterproof and run on one AA battery, so I’m not sure if they are very powerful. These vibrators are turned on and off by a simple push button on the bottom of the handle and they all offer steady vibrations as well as pulsation patterns.

The Wonderland Collection vibrators are colorful, unique, and fun looking. I would think they are a must for any Alice in Wonderland aficionado. They are available at several online retailers and are quite reasonable in price. Does anyone have one of these cute vibrators?

OhMiBod Freestyle W Review

I have heard nothing but good things about OhMiBod sex toys so when the opportunity to review one came around, I jumped at it. Just last year, OhMiBod introduced the Freestyle W, the newest of their musical vibrators, and it can be found at MyPleasure.

OhMiBod Freestyle W

What makes the OhMiBod Freestyle W stand out from the rest of the OhMiBod line is that it is a rabbit vibrator. I love rabbit vibrators. They allow me to be stimulated both internally and externally at the same time. As I am generally a lazy masturbator, I like to be able to get both types of stimulation from one toy rather than having to use two at once.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W is a good-sized vibrator at 8.75″, with 5″ being insertable, and 1.5″ in diameter. The handle is plastic while the shaft and clitoral arm are made of bright blue silicone. I love the color. Granted, color isn’t a truly important aspect in a vibrator but aesthetics do help. The clitoral arm is almost solid silicone that probably has some wires running through it, while the shaft is silicone wrapped around electronic parts. The top half of the shaft is somewhat flexible, though still firm when I squeeze it. The clitoral arm is also bendy. There is a slight seam running all along the shaft and clitoral arm of the Freestyle W, but I don’t feel it when I’m using the vibrator.

As the OhMiBod Freestyle W is silicone, you want to use water-based lubricant with it because silicone-based lube can react negatively with the silicone of the vibrator. There is quite a bit of drag to the silicone of the Freestyle W so I recommend using using a fair amount of lubricant. The Freestyle W is easy to care for and clean due to the silicone and plastic materials. You can simply use warm water and antibacterial soap, your favorite sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution on the silicone parts of the vibrator. Cleaning the vibrator with bleach will allow you to share it between non-fluid bonded partners as the bleach sterilizes the silicone. You can also use water or a sex toy cleaner on the plastic handle of the Freestyle W, but it is only splash proof so be careful not to get any fluid in the charging port.

Silicone is latex and phthalate-free, mostly non-porous, and hypoallergenic, so it is a very safe material for sex toys. Just be sure to store your silicone toys separately from each other and other toys to keep any negative chemical reactions from happening. Fortunately, OhMiBod provides you with a satin storage bag or, as they call it, a “privacy pouch” in which to store your Freestyle W.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W has a control pad shaped like a flower that pivots in five directions. There is the little music note which turns on the Music Mode, a symbol that turns on Manual Mode, up and down arrows which control the intensity of the vibrations and cycle through the patterns, and the Off petal. I was a bit confused at first because the arrow that points down is actually the petal that increases the intensity of the vibrations, while the arrow pointing up decreases the intensity. Of course, this is looking at the vibrator straight on. When it is inside me, everything points the way I would expect. When you turn the Freestyle W on in Manual Mode, the LED around the flower lights up. When you turn on Music Mode, the LED flashes.

There are three levels of steady vibration and four pulsation patterns. To increase the intensity of the vibration, push on the down arrow. After the third level of intensity the next press will bring you to the first pulsation pattern. You scroll up through the pulsation patterns with the down arrow. To go back to a different pulsation pattern or the steady vibration, use the up arrow. The Freestyle W has no memory so no matter where you turn it off it always turns on at the lowest level of vibration. I find the flower button a bit difficult to use with my long nails. I sometimes press the Off button when I’m trying to press the down arrow. I’m not sure if this would be an issue sans nails, but it’s possible as there are no discrete buttons. The patterns are as follows:
1. Slow pulse
2. Medium pulse
3. Fast pulse
4. Two short pulses, one long pulse

Of course, one of the main reasons to purchase the OhMiBod Freestyle W is the Music Mode. If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch, you can purchase an application on the Apple App Store for $.99 that will allow you to interact with your Freestyle W via music. One very cool thing about this is that you can do it without having to attach any wires to the Freestyle W. You simply press the Music Mode button, then connect the included transmitter to your iPhone or iPod. You then connect your earbuds to the other side of the transmitter or you can use the included cable to connect the transmitter to the AUX-In on your stereo or speakers. Use the dial on the side of the transmitter to turn it on and adjust the Freestyle W’s sensitivity to the music. Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPhone and my iPod has been acting up so I haven’t purchased the OhMiBod app, which is called OhMiBod Remote. I think it would be great if OhMiBod put out an Android application considering the size of the Android market.

For some reason I was expecting the OhMiBod Freestyle W to be very powerful and it really isn’t. Even with its three speeds, it is only moderate in intensity. The vibrations are also moderate in sensation. They are more middle of the road, definitely not deep and rumbly, but not really buzzy either. They do the job but are nothing to write home about. One good thing about the Freestyle W is that it isn’t terribly loud. You can certainly hear it if you’re in the same room but you can’t hear it all through a closed door.

I like the OhMiBod Freestyle W well enough but it doesn’t rock my world. I don’t really notice the waves when thrusting like I was hoping I would. The vibrations are weaker than I was expecting which was a disappointment, and they are not as deep I would like. Nonetheless, the OhMiBod Freestyle W does bring me to orgasm, albeit on the highest level of intensity only. I do like the patterns, which run at the highest level of intensity. The Freestyle W also fits my body well. The clitoral arm curves around and hits my clit while the shaft is penetrating me and provides a bit of pressure, which I really like. ly move it up and down. If you need it in a different position, you are out of luck.

The OhMiBod Freestyle W is rechargeable and requires two hours to charge fully, though mine did arrive with some charge to it. This two hour charge will provide you with up to three hours of play time, depending upon how you use the Freestyle W, and 60 days of standby time. While charging, the LED around the control panel will flash and the LED on the charger will glow red. When charging is complete the LED on the charger will glow green to let you know the charging is done.

OhMiBod Freestyle W Packaging

OhMiBod Freestyle W Packaging

OhMiBod Freestyle W Packaging

The packaging of the OhMiBod Freestyle W is surprisingly huge. This is because OhMiBod includes the charging plug in a U.S. format, along with three adapters for other countries. This is very kind of them, though unnecessary for me as I have no immediate plans to travel out of the country with my Freestyle W. I suppose it keeps OhMiBod from having to issue different versions for different countries. Of course, if you are traveling out of the country this will make it easy. Also included in the very large and sturdy box are the music transmitter with its required two AAA batteries (kudos to OhMiBod for including the batteries), the cable you need for Music Mode, the satin privacy pouch, and the user manual. As I mentioned, the box is quite sturdy and serves well for storing all the bits and pieces included with the Freestyle W, but it is also large and takes up a lot of room. If you don’t have the storage space, you might just want to store the Freestyle W in the privacy pouch and the rest of the pieces in a plastic baggie. OhMiBod provides a three year standard warranty on the Freestyle W, which is quite good.

OhMiBod Freestyle W Pros:
• Silicone
• Rechargeable
• Foreign chargers included
• Blue
• Music Mode
• Storage bag

OhMiBod Freestyle W Cons:
• Not the strongest or deepest vibrations
• Control pad a bit difficult to press with nails
• OhMiBod Remote application only available for iPhone/iPod

The OhMiBod line of sex toys offers a unique experience that can’t really be found elsewhere. It’s really too bad that the OhMiBod Remote application is not available for Android. I would have liked to take advantage of the Freestyle W’s Music Mode. Other than that, the Freestyle W is a relatively standard rabbit vibrator in a nifty blue silicone. I find the control button a bit challenging to use but I think that is probably a long nail issue rather than a flaw in the design. I am less than thrilled with the vibrations of the OhMiBod Freestyle W, which is really where it disappoints me. While I can get off with this vibrator, not everyone will be able to because the vibrations are not terribly strong. Still, the shape does work for me so the vibrator is not a total dud. If you have an iPhone, the desire to play with the Music Mode, and don’t need super strong vibrations, the Freestyle W is probably worth the investment. You can purchase your very own OhMiBod Freestyle W at MyPleasure.

SPOTLIGHT on Sqweel 2 at Babeland

Do you all remember the Sqweel? I’ve never had the chance to review it, but it definitely is an interesting looking sex toy. It’s made by Lovehoney and has been around for a while. Lovehoney also produces Sqweelers, which are different attachments/wheels to put in your Sqweel. Now Love Honey has put out the brand new Sqweel 2, and it is currently available exclusively at Babeland.

Sqweel 2

The original Sqweel works by setting its 10 silicone “tongues” spinning against whatever part of your anatomy you choose to use it on. It was unique in that there was really nothing else quite like it on the market. Until now. The Sqweel 2 looks very similar to the original Sqweel but it comes in either black or white and has a handy dandy little cover for the Sqweel wheel. The Sqweel wheel is made of silicone and the body of the Sqweel 2 is made of hard plastic. It runs on three AAA batteries. Love Honey has made several improvements to the Sqweel 2 compared to the original. It has a new flicker mode that allows the tongues to flick against your body at variable speeds. There is a reverse rotation as well. I wonder how that feels against the clit… The Sqweel 2 provides more pressure of the tongues against your body and is meant to be very quiet. It is also splash proof so it can be used in the shower and it looks like the Sqweel 2 has a lock on it.

As I mentioned before, currently you can only get the Sqweel 2 at Babeland. From now until August 1, if you purchase the Sqweel 2 you will receive a free Sqweeler as your gift with purchase. Sqweelers run $10, so that’s a nice little bonus. Also, during the month of July you can save 20% on your entire purchase and get free shipping on your $75+ purchase with code: 75511 at checkout. So visit Babeland and check out the new Sqweel 2 today.

LELO Nea Review

Recently I was lucky enough to win a giveaway put on by Teagan Shepard. I was really hoping I’d win because the prize was a LELO Nea, which is a sex toy I have always wanted to try. Thanks to Teagan, I now have my very own LELO Nea.

LELO Nea

The LELO Nea is a very pretty little clit stimulator. It is 3″ long and 2″ wide. It is made of black ABS Plastic with little flowers stenciled on both sides in plum. ABS is a good choice for sex toys because it is latex-free and hypoallergenic. LELO plastic is also phthalate-free and non-porous. It can be used with with either water-based or silicone-based lubricants. Plastic is also easy to clean. You can clean the Nea with warm water and antibacterial soap or a sex toy cleaner. Be careful when washing with water as the LELO Nea is not waterproof. You want to make sure you don’t get any fluid in the charging port on the bottom of the vibrator.

As with all LELO Pleasure Objects, the Nea is rechargeable, and it takes about two hours to charge the Nea. The buttons on the LELO Nea light up and flash when charging and glow steadily when the Nea is fully charged. When the Nea needs to be charged it will let you know by glowing red rather than white when you press the buttons. These buttons also activate and deactivate the travel lock. Press down on both buttons simultaneously to either lock or unlock the Nea. This is also helpful for storage as it keeps the vibrator from turning on accidentally and running down the battery. According to LELO, one charge is good for up to seven hours of use and 90 days of standby time. This will obviously vary depending upon how you use the Nea.

The LELO Nea has five different modes of vibration. It has one steady vibration mode and four pattern modes. Operation of the Nea is simple, as there are only two buttons. The button on the right turns the Nea on, increases the intensity, and accesses the pattern modes. The button on the left decreases the intensity and turns the Nea off. To turn the Nea on, hold down on the right-hand button for a few seconds. You will be in the steady vibration mode. To access the patterns, press and hold the right-hand button down for three seconds. To cycle through the patterns, use the right-hand button. To return to the steady vibration, press the left-hand button. Press this button and hold for three to four seconds to turn the Nea off. The different modes are as follows:
1. Steady vibration
2. Moderate pulsation
3. Faster pulsation
4. Fastest pulsation
5. Roller coaster

LELO Nea

LELO Nea

LELO Nea

LELO Nea

The shape of the LELO Nea reminds me a bit of a ginormous bean, so you know I love that. Aside from the aesthetic appeal, the Nea rests very comfortably in my hand and the buttons are easy to press. It is easy to use, though it is louder than I expected. I can’t hear it through my closed bedroom door but it is relatively loud in the room, even under the covers. Your partner will definitely hear it if he or she is laying next to you trying to sleep. The vibrations are also buzzier than expected though I suppose this isn’t surprising considering the size of the Nea. That said, this isn’t the buzziest clit vibrator in the world, but it certainly doesn’t have the rumbliest vibrations either. The vibrations start off so mild I can barely tell the Nea is on and go up to a respectable level of moderately high intensity. It’s not as strong as my We-Vibe Touch, which is my strongest clit vibe, but it is comparable to my Leaf Fresh.

Interestingly enough, while I tend to prefer vibrators with deep and rumbly vibrations, I still really like the LELO Nea. The shape works very well for me. The tip of the Nea slides right in between my labia to nestle up against my clit extremely well. The slipperiness of the plastic provides no drag against my skin so I use little or no lubricant, as my fluids are usually more than enough to do the job. I can actually get off using the Nea on its lower levels of intensity, which is quite surprising. Usually I need more intensity to orgasm. The pinpoint vibrations of the Nea work just as well against my nipples as they do on my clit and labia. It really is a pleasure to use this vibrator.

The packaging of the LELO Nea is the typical luxurious LELO packing. The exterior box is lightweight cardboard and inside is the discreet, hard black box that says LELO on it and is great for storage. Inside the black box sits the Nea on a little plastic tray. Underneath the tray is the charger, the satin storage bag, a sample of LELO’s water-based lube, the user manual, and the warranty information. The Nea has the same standard one year warranty and 10 year quality guarantee that all LELO sex toys have. If your Nea breaks after the one year warranty has expired, LELO will allow you to purchase another Pleasure Object for a 50% discount.

LELO Nea Packaging

LELO Nea Packaging

LELO Nea Pros:
• Good to use on nipples as well clit
• Great shape for pinpoint vibrations
• Fits well in hand
• Lets you know when battery is low
• Rechargeable
• Travel lock

LELO Nea Cons:
• Not waterproof
• Slightly loud

All in all, I am surprised by the LELO Nea. I expected to like it, just not this much. It’s shape is really great for stimulating my nipples and finding my clit and it is comfortable to hold and use. Though silicone is usually my preferred material for sex toys, the plastic offers no drag and is not at all a lint magnet. It’s also shiny and pretty with its little flowers. Not the most important thing in the world, but an added bonus. I like that the Nea lets you know when the battery runs low, which has not happened to me yet. I also love that is rechargeable and I always like a lock on my vibrators to keep them from accidentally turning on. I wish it were waterproof so I wouldn’t have to be concerned about it when cleaning and it is a bit loud, but I can totally live with these aspects considering how much I really like the Nea. It gets me off quickly and easily, which is the whole point. It’s nice and small so I can easily keep it by the bed to reach for when I wake up in the mood to play. This is my favorite LELO Pleasure Object thus far. If it were waterproof I’d give it five beans but I’m knocking half a bean off because it isn’t.

SPOTLIGHT on Tantus Tsunami

Last week I wrote a Spotlight on the Tantus Panacea and though I usually don’t write about the same company two weeks in a row, there is another new Tantus toy out that is worth mentioning. It is the Tsunami Vibrator and you can find at EdenFantasys.

Tantus Tsunami Vibrator

The Tantus Tsunami Vibrator is 7.25″ long, with 6.75″ being insertable, and 1.75″ in diameter. It comes with a vibrating bullet that fits into the bottom of the Tsunami, so it really is more of a vibrating dildo that a vibrator. Its curved tip looks good for g-spot stimulation and its wavy side seems like it would offer a good amount of sensation for those who enjoy texture. Its flared base will allow the Tsunami to be be used for both vaginal and anal play.

As with all of Tantus’ sex toys, the Tsunami vibrator is made out of Tantus’ special Ultra-Premium Platinum Silicone, which can be cleaned with water and antibacterial soap, a sex toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. Since you can remove the vibrating bullet from the Tsunami, you can also boil it or wash it in the dishwasher.

You can check out the Tsunami Vibrator at EdenFantasys, where you can find quite a good selection of Tantus dildos, vibrators, and butt plugs.
