I’ve wanted to try something from Pipedream’s Icicles line for a while. Thanks to FunWares, I now have Icicles No. 14 in my greedy little hands.

Icicles is Pipedream’s line of glass sex toys. They are numbered rather than named and No 14 is a very pretty, clear glass massager. It is more popularly used as a butt plug, but can also be used as a g-spot dildo. I often start out with it on my g-spot but end up with it spending most of its time in my butt so for me it really serves more as a butt plug than a dildo.

The No 14 glass Butt Plug is 6″ long, with 4″ insertable. The bulb is 1 5/8″ in diameter with its neck measuring 7/8″. The neck has a graceful curve that, along with the handle, creates a glass massager that is easy to hold and maneuver. The hole in the handle measures 1 1/4″ across, so there really is plenty of room for fingers no matter how large they may be. No 14 is a bit larger than your average butt plug. Also, keep in mind that glass is unforgiving so it often feels larger than a silicone plug of the same size. As you can see, No 14 looks a bit like a baby’s pacifier. I kinda creep myself out with that comparison, but what are you going to do?

I love glass sex toys for so many reasons. Glass is non-porous, body-safe, and hypoallergenic so it is easy to care for and clean, and it lasts forever if you take good care of it. You can use any sort of lubricant with it, and it often requires less lube than other materials. It is smooth, silky, and beautiful, and it’s great for sensation play. You can simply soak your No 14 Massager in ice water or hot water to cool it down or heat it up for some fun with temperatures. I’m very fond of cold play myself. Each No 14 is hand blown, made in China, so there may be slight variations from massager to massager. Always remember to check your No 14 before each play session to make sure there are no chips or cracks.

Pipedream does a nice job with their packaging. The No 14 Glass Massager comes in a high quality box with pictures on all four sides. It isn’t the most discreet packaging around with the images and the words “glass massager” everywhere, but it is great for storage. There is a flap on the front of the box that opens like a door. It’s reminiscent of Fun Factory packaging. Through the doorway you can see No 14 laying in its little cushioned bed of styrofoam. Not only is the packaging stylish and tasteful but I feel totally secure in the safety of my glass massager through shipping and storage. I could probably drop the box and no harm would come to my No 14. Not that I have or plan to, but I’m just saying…the styrofoam is extra thick and cushy, and fits No 14 like a glove.

The soft blunt bulb slides into my bottom so nicely, with just a small amount of lubricant. I feel that slight pain that causes me to inhale sharply. Then breathing steadily I slowly push it in further, feeling that ever delightful pop, then the fullness inside. It’s just delicious. The cold, unforgiving glass massages my insides and increases my wetness tenfold. How I love anal play!

I am a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I find all the excited clenching can cause the plug to slip completely inside me at times. I suppose I have a hungry little bottom. The handle makes it very easy to pull right out, but it’s not ideal. However, I suspect this is an issue specific to me and not a flaw of the No 14 itself.

No 14′s size and firmness make it more suited for intermediate to advance players. If you’re newer to anal play or like smaller plugs, there are better options out there. Consider something like the Glass Pleasure Pearls instead.

All in all, I really love my Icicles No 14. The design is great, the glass is weighty and solid. It’s a pleasure to look at, hold in my hand, and have inside me. The handle makes for good thrusting in the front and in the rear. I appreciate the security and storing ability of the packaging. The Icicles No 14 Glass Massager is a winner in my book. I can’t wait to try some of the other products in the line.
